Questions & Answers

What are the steps involved in using this system? I don't know, but I really would appreciate if you could send me some photos of how it actually works with plants and which type of fixture you need/works best, if any. ?

You can use it with any fixture that features hooks at both ends. There's no need to worry about the length of the frame. On the other hook, you attach something to your ceiling or whatever you will use to hang the fixture. Attaching the screwhooks on the ceiling was made possible by #10 screwhooks from Home Depot. By adjusting the height of the light by pulling the cord through the ratchet or releasing the ratchet after it has been hung, it is possible to finely adjust the height.

A ratchet must be released to lower the light fixture, but how do you do it? For it to be lowered, do you have to be able to reach the ratchet end?

There must be an access point to An end clip with a release clip attaches to the ratchet. It unlocks when you press down, and when you reach the height you want, you simply pull on the rope to prompt it to lock With the regular clip I looped it around a frame in my indoor garden and used the ratchet end to clip the light to it, so it will always be within reach. I have reached.

How does the 1/8 and 1/4 inch measurements relate to each other?

This rope has a diameter of 1.5 meters. In a way. As you may be able to tell, I got the 1/8" ones, and the rope is just a little thicker than 1/8", around It took me almost 3/8" to thicken the 1/4" ones I saw in a store.

Are these suitable if you wish to hang (raise and lower) flower pots? The end of a wooden beam should be secured to it somehow. How would you do that?

Raising can be accomplished by pulling on the free end and adjusting finely. It has a lever to lower, but if you release it, you'll still have to make sure your lights are supported by some other means. These were hung with a half loop constructed by binding two of the line ends around a bamboo pole and using the free end of the line to make the halves of the loop. I had no problems with it at all!

Here are my caveats about this product
3/5

I bought these hangers in two packs for storage in my self-storage unit, where I'm attaching stuff to the 15-foot walls. I built walls that grew to my feet. One thing I dislike about the cord is that it feels flimsy. I wonder if these can hold up to 140 pounds. The 20-pound weight is being held up by it There appears to be a problem with the cable on the 60lb road bike. In addition, there is an issue with D-grades It consists of a crimped ring and a ball joint. The product has already been reviewed by one reviewer who said The ring needs to be held in a more positive and secure manner. Is it true that you are supposed to be able to use the ratchet to pull the stuff you are holding on to? Two hangers were enough to hold up a 20-lb With a 85 lb road bike, I cannot pull the cord to raise the bike because the weight of the bike induces tension on the flimsy cord. I have to hold the bike up in order to get the ratchet to work and raise the bike. If you wrap the ratchet ring around the item you are holding and hook it back to the cord, the cord will bind when you pull the cord and the ratchet will not It is not easy to reach the ratchet end if you place it near the ceiling you will not be able to reach it without
I finally found that the pair I got had a D- in it. A clasp on the ring There was a broken spring, so there was no hinge that kept the ring closed! Those of you from the manufacturer who are reading this have a lot of work to do to make this product better.

With a grow light, this works great
5/5

This year I am going to use it to hang a grow light for my vegetables indoors, so I can start them earlier. was hesitant to open these last night, unsure what I would receive, and I was more than pleased. The hook I used, which I had in the basement, was one of those large rubber covered hooks for holding rakes or shovels (like what you would find in your garage) and I screwed it into the rafter. The mechanism for lifting and lowering the remaining carabiner is very easy to use when I put it over the hook. You can operate it with just one hand, since it is so simple to use. One of the things I like about this light is that there are no preset lengths it can be adjusted up to 1 foot or 1/8th This product is very well priced and I am very satisfied with it.

I would recommend them over a
5/5

They are cheaper and work just as well as These are the fifth set of these that I've bought so far. I find these to be much more effective than chains, and they work great. I would mention if you are using three shelves to increase the height of seedlings that start to grow too large you may run out of room when your plants grow larger if you are using 6' shelving units with lights. Approximately 6" of height are lost where the clip attaches to the top of the shelf, resulting in a 6" drop in Getting your seedlings higher will probably require the use of a S hook if you plan to grow them indoors under lights. But if your seeds are already small, this isn't an issue, but if you have height restrictions, you will have no trouble.

It is a must-have for grow lights, but does have one I've got 6 of these in my basement - they hold up T-shirts Five, three, four The number 8 and the number T The fluorescent grow lights I use in my tomato and pepper seed nursery are 12 ft

long each. Another one of my lights I rigged up with wire and a The ones I have are easy to raise and lower they take about two seconds to do so, while the ones I have with chains take quite a while. All in all I think they are fine. Holds up what I need for them to hold and works just fine. As easy as raising the lights are, I wish they could have figured out a better way to lower them. The little ratchet on the backside is hard to find or awkward for me to use. It has to be pressed tightly to lower the lights. I don't have a problem with it otherwise.

I hope all your hummingbirds are doing well
5/5

Originally, I purchased these products to fulfill their advertised purpose. The greenhouse lamps will be held in place while I adjust the distance between the lamps and My mind wandered to the possibility of using them for my Hummingbird feeders as well. Because I can't reach the top of the pumps to refill them, I always reach for my ladder. It isn't uncommon for me to procrastinate and stay empty for several days, then the wrath of the hummingbirds hits me. It is not uncommon for them to dive at my head when they are frustrated. From next year on, I will use these to hold my bird Then I fill them up, run them up to the eaves, and lower them down again when they are empty.

Pushing the lever thousands of times feels as if you could do it forever
5/5

The quality of this product is superior to every other hanger on the market. It is likely that there are 1 rings, they are heavy. The weight of one ring is five times that of another. Effort is exerted by the spring on a solid basis. I feel as though I could press the lever a thousand times without experiencing any problems. Despite being strong, the rope is soft and floppy, and the loop is effortlessly moved by it. A hard composite housing houses the pulley. It feels like the type of material that Glock pistols are made of. Furthermore, there is no doubt that metals are used internally. Quality is evident in every part of the product. There is no sense in buying an inferior product when you can get a higher quality product for the same price. If you look at the bolts in my picture, they are not coming apart.

A very well made product which is I found these little pulleys ideal for my application because they are so small
5/5

To get a jump start on my spring plantings, I used them to suspend 4' fluorescent fixtures above seedling starter trays (see pictures). The cords of both pulleys are highly reliable and well made, while the housing of both appears sturdy and substantial, yet lightweight. The eye bolts and nuts are secured to the 1" PVC pipe. Despite being packaged as a pair, the instructions (one pair per package) on how to use them make sense and are right on the package. When I tried to pull on them, I couldn't get the lock to give. They were extremely satisfied with this purchase and I would suggest them to friends and family.
