As a result of reviews, I bought these. I may have received a batch that got past As far as I know, there is no ratcheting involved in my use of 4 pairs. If I am careful, they hold, but they do not adjust like the ratcheting hangars I've had in the past.

One thing that I took away a star for was that the end of the adjustment cordage did not have a knot or any type of stopper to ensure all the cord would not come out at once. A line of mine got tangled up in my daughter's hands, and she pulled it out completely. Having to do this again was a pain The pulley should be threaded through it.
