I had some difficulty with the top because it was too small, but I managed to work it out.
While I am unable to provide an exact measurement, I can say that it was insufficiently deep for anything with a root system. I tossed it and purchased a roll of coir matting to make my own. In theory, it's fantastic, but in practice it's a waste of time
There was only one, and it was too small for my needs.
Only the overflow water is discharged, leaving the dirt behind.

We needed liners in a matter of days, and they arrived on time, which was critical because we needed the liners for a project fifty-two miles away. In some areas, the liners are very thin, so we added more material to reinforce them. From front to back, the length and depth were spot on. The height all the way around the top perimeters is two inches too short, resulting in a two-inch gap between the top of the finish dirt line and the top of the basket frame. This is a bad situation, and the height was not mentioned anywhere in the advertisement. br>br>So either keep your old ones to fill in the gaps and be certain of the height, or buy locally to touch, feel, and measure for sure.
I purchased a planter with a liner from Home Depot. In the spring, I planted flowers, and now in the fall, I'm planting them again. I ordered this to replace the planter because the coconut liner had literally fallen apart. My initial impression was that it was significantly thicker and more durable than the one that came with it. It also required some bending to get used to the planter, which I didn't mind because I didn't want a flimsy liner. I watered it after adding the liner and my fall bulbs, and I was pleased with how well it held up. My bulbs will hopefully bloom in the spring if it survives the winter outside.
Given that they were $15 each, I was quite surprised at the price. I was astounded by how strong and thick they were. The majority of the time, these are extremely thin, and you'll have to replace them every year. Because of how well it's made, I believe it will last at least two years. I was also surprised to find a liner inside, which keeps the soil moist and prevents water from running through too quickly, and I'm very pleased with it.
We put baby diapers in the bottom to help keep moisture in the flowers, which has kept them looking great all summer.
Because this liner is thick and sturdy, we shouldn't have to worry about birds or squirrels ripping it apart. The only drawback is that I needed it to be more flexible than it was because I wanted it to fit in a decorative iron trough. Some people found that soaking the liner in water before filing it with dirt helped.
Water does not drip straight through the bottom, so the soil is not washed away. They also came with an unexpected mat to put in the bottom of each to help plants retain moisture and reduce the frequency of watering. I will definitely buy from you again!.
Another reviewer did not deter me from ordering two of these preformed liners from Amazon after I noticed "imperfect" round liners at my nursery. You won't even notice once the flower baskets or hangers are full of blooming plants!br>br>If you've ever purchased coco liners, you'll know that they're not perfectly molded like a metal or plastic liner, for example. They're made of coco fiber, and I imagine it's difficult to perfect the molding of such a natural fiber. I'd like to mention that I recently went through a stack of 14" round coco fiber liners at my nursery and didn't find one that looked exactly like the other. With natural fibers, it's the same way. Of course, if the shape isn't quite right, I'd send it back. br>br>I was looking for a 24" rectangular tapered coco liner but couldn't find one. So, while they weren't perfect, they surpassed my expectations in terms of size and quality, and they fit perfectly in my 24" tapered flower box. The liner only extends a few inches beyond the top of the flower box in the middle, and the sides are, of course, rounded as they should be. Once your flowers are fully bloomed, you won't even notice the slight unevenness! Each bottom liner is equipped with two soil moist sheets. I've heard nothing but good things about these, and I'm confident they'll keep my plants moist. br>br>Shipping was quick. br>br>These liners were a good compromise for my rectangular tapered 24" flower boxes. br>br> Please let me know if you come across any 24" tapered coco liners!.
Because there is likely only one manufacturer of these planter inserts, it should come as no surprise that they all function in the same way, lasting only one season. The joke with the Bosmere brand is that the description makes it sound like such a revolutionary improvement. It isn't the case. A doubling of a Bounty paper towel could easily replace the pad they used to help retain water in theirs. Save your money and patronize your neighborhood garden center.
