Questions & Answers

What do you need to do to ?

On side, we tied a tree high up. After that, we installed tie down eyes in the roof ridge of the shed and our house's eaves. The sail was equipped with snap swivels on each corner to allow it to be easily removed during a storm, and was tied with 300 lb lines. Make sure the cordage is strong. I wish you the best of

Can this canopy act as a rainy day shelter?

There are some loose threads in the weave, which would let rain As they are weaved so as to pass wind through, they don't blow over and stay in place for shade.

What are the chances of mounting them on ?

Whether you can attach to trees is up to you. It's just a matter of having a good drill and large drill bits so that you can pre drill holes for hardware attachments so that you can attach

The product appears to be commercial grade, is it not?

It is very well made from good materials and should last several years under normal use, but I do not know if there is a standard that would grade it into consumer or commercial grades.

In just one week, I was able to reduce the discomfort of being outdoors to an enjoyable experience
5/5

Having them around has turned out to be a good change in the comfort of being outside. As a resident of Houston, I live in a backyard that can reach the 100's even before May has arrived. Having had no luck finding sails in my yard for the last few years, I finally got the courage to install two. The yard has ten sails. For $250, I found a 12 foot long, 4" wide Schedule 40 pipe with threaded couples on Craigslist. With 4 of them in the ground, the footings had to be 24" wide, and I then used the couple to experiment with various heights of poles until I found one pole that was 11 feet high and 3 poles that were 8 feet high that I liked best. The footing was so large that I was still concerned about the poles falling in the wind, even after looking at the size of it. I had the good fortune of getting a storm with high winds right after I finished the project. Out in the garden, the poles were completely level and the wind wasn't even swaying them. There is no doubt that the sails are really good quality. applied a lot of torque to them so that they were tight as a drum and there was no sign of wear or tear. The included hardware couldn't be used however, and I opted for steel wire and heavy duty turnbuckles instead. Considering it will only last me the first two seasons for $30, I consider it a good deal. The umbrella I bought cost $200, but it bit it less than six months later. My favorite part of the sail is that it does not block out all the sunlight as well as not tint everything a certain shade.

It is a great value for a shade canopy
5/5

It worked perfectly for a shade over our Koi and plants, and provided great value. As each installation will have a different set of requirements anyway, it is best to figure out exactly what you require and purchase it locally once you get the canopy. Here are a few things to consider. I must mention*br Keep away from stretchable ropes like cotton, like the type and length of rope you select. I must mention*br * Which anchor should be used for the surface your connection will be attached to. - To avoid being in the way, how high do you need to be off the ground (higher is better)*- Do you need to construct anchor points, for example. If I build off something else instead of posts, do I need to lay them down in the ground. My pictures from the project show that after laying out the fence, I was able to extend the corner posts for a connection point. I must mention*br Maintaining the ropes or storing for winter will require you to tighten the ropes from time to time. How easy is it to do this? I've now had my canopy up for two months and have not needed to adjust)

Even though we had the dimensions prior to ordering, it was still better to lay it out in order to figure out where the connections should go to keep the canopy taut. I changed my mind after I installed it and was able to move it around to find the best angle, height, and connect point. The 16 foot was instead too small and ill advised, I should have gone with the 18 footer. I do like it though,.

Our playground area has benefitted greatly from these products
5/5

I like them very much. Their love for them is great. A good shade of green. A durable material. It is strong. Especially useful on playgrounds where there is a need for A small stainless steel (aircraft) cable was used to hang mine, so the support wires are barely visible. In addition to providing shade over the playground, they simply hang in the air. It is a good product at a good price. I would highly recommend it.

We are pleased with our sophisticated sun protection and top notch service
5/5

I recommend this product for any outdoor area you want shade or protection from the sun. The shades I use have been in my possession for more than 6 years now and I have recommended them to many friends and family members. These shades provide filtered shade and add a level of sophistication to any yard, business, etc. The shades are shipped with rope so that you can hang them from buildings etc. However, you should not use this rope or any other Marine grade cable and anchors are used to anchor all the shades. Your installation will take longer and cost more with this method. However, the results are 100% worth the effort. The shades I have are hardy enough to withstand 45MPH winds, torrential downpours, and whatever else the Northeast may bring (even light snowfalls). It usually takes me until early November to take them down and store them, then I put them back up in In the past couple of years, I've had to replace two of these. One because the D bracket finally collapsed and the other tore due to a fabric defect. This is a great product!.

The job is done well
3/5

This product is made in China and not the United States! The system held up nice and strong when I installed it using my own system. With this pressure set to about 60 pounds on all three sides, it holds true and is The item is not made in the United States, so it was docked a star. There is a Chinese manufacturer for this item! A brief update All metal rings have been rusted almost to the point of disintegration. Until I replace the rings, I will not be able to prevent any damage from happening before a fierce windstorm destroys my.

This product does not meet the quality standards
3/5

As I mentioned, we bought it last fall in order to use it for a shade covering for our pool equipment come Hence, we had not opened the package until a few weeks ago, after the deadline for returning it had passed. The middle of the shade was emblazoned with a large hole, as well as several snags in the material. In an email to Amazon and the seller, we made our request. Now that it has been several weeks since the seller or Amazon have contacted me, I have not heard anything. I was deeply disappointed with the size, color, and material, as they were exactly what we were looking for.

This is all well and good Theoretically they're a good idea, but actually they haven't lasted more than six months over our pool and need company will not respond to emails for replacements when after just one summer, they started falling apart
3/5

When I bought them the second time, they had a 3 year warranty, but the company refuses to get back to me when I need to replace them. I have an one in a shaded place over a pond that I am doing OK, but as a shade it is doomed.
