Questions & Answers

Is it one or two straps?

There are two straps on this, one for each side of the hammock or trees.

Is it true that there are two straps, as you advertise "strap "?

The bag comes with two straps, each measuring approximately 9 inches in length. 10 feet in length I own two of these sets and find them to be extremely useful. My Atlas strap system and hammock are both kept in my carry-on bag. You never know when you'll need it, and you can sleep almost anywhere with it on.

Is it possible to use the straps on a hammock that isn't an ENO?

Yes, if the hammock you're attempting to use has a clip on either end rather than just a string of some sort. Absolutely, and I strongly advise you to use these "Atlas straps" instead of the standard "Sap straps." They make everything a lot easier and more convenient.

I currently have the ENO slap straps pro, which stretch excessively, but since these are made of polyester rather than nylon, do they not stretch?

These do not stretch, so the way you set up your hammock in the morning will be the same as it is now. In my opinion, it is well worth the extra money.

Straps: Atlas vs
4/5

Slap vs. Python I have a Python-strapped Kammock Roo and an Atlas-strapped ENO singlenest. With access to all three, I can form an opinion on all three thanks to a friend of mine who has the Slap straps for his doublenest. Because I'm cheap, I only wanted to buy the Slap straps at first, but I considered the possibility of having to return them, which would cost me more in the long run. Also, because I'm a little over 200 pounds, I was concerned about stretching and purchased these Atlas straps. br>br>Atlas vs Pythonbr>To be honest, they're both good straps with a good length, lots of clip-on loops, and they don't stretch. It's a tie when it comes to pure function. The width, feel of the material, weight limit, and warranty are the most significant differences. Atlas straps are a little wider (a little more tree protection), rougher to the touch, rated for 200 lbs each, and come with a two-year warranty. Python straps are a little narrower, softer to the touch, and have a lifetime warranty. They are rated for 250 pounds each and come with a lifetime warranty. Python straps are a good choice if you want something a little more durable but still have a nice feel. If you're not close to the weight limits (check the Hammock Hang Calculator for strap tension based on your weight and how you hang your hammock), but still want to match your ENO, go with the Atlas straps. If I were picking a set for anything other than an ENO hammock, I'd probably go with Python straps because of the added strength and warranty, but since I like things to match, I'm fine with the Atlas straps on my SingleNest. br>br>Atlas vs Slapbr>As I mentioned previously, one of the most important factors for me was the ability to stretch. To put this to the test, my friend set up his hammock so that after he had been lounging in it for a while ("pre-lounging"), when he got out of it ("post-lounging"), he could It was about a foot off the ground when I stretched it out ("stretched"). Now that I'm about 50 pounds heavier, when I get in, it sags to the point where it's almost touching the ground. It appears that my concerns were justified. When you consider that the straps only have about half as many connection points, finding the "sweet spot" would take an eternity. It's not about spending a lot of time adjusting your hammock when you're hammocking. My friend even stated that if he could do it all over again, he would choose the Atlas straps. br>br>And that's all there is to it! Python is a dynamic programming language that is constantly evolving. slight edge, then Atlas, but stay away from Slap straps!.

straps are excellent
5/5

This is my third pair; my son "borrowed" the first, and I left the second at a friend's house after a trip (I'll never see them again because he now uses them). I've tried a few other brands and these are by far the best; they're great for a variety of tree sizes, hold up well, and don't irritate the tree's bark. They are something I use at least once a month as a Scout leader and would highly recommend.

Completes the task at hand
5/5

There were a few mistakes in the stitching. 2 years later, an update. The carabiner broke through three loops (busted stitching) when I was getting into my hammock, which was a major failure. I contacted ENO about it (I was under the weight limit at the time). This shouldn't have happened in the first place). ENO provided EXCELLENT customer service. They sent me replacement straps and advised me to make sure the straps were installed in the correct orientation. It is possible for the loops to break through the stitching if they are not oriented correctly. I raised the rating (from 3 to 5) due to excellent customer service. It's a reasonable solution. br>br> On one of the straps, the stitching has come undone. It performs admirably. For what it is, it's a little pricey.

The most amazing straps I've ever seen! I'd only buy these hammock straps if I had to! These bad boys have a huge range of options! You can adjust the tightness or looseness of your hammock in 4 inch increments
5/5

The straps are of excellent quality and can withstand even the most difficult trees! I've even hung them from brick pillars without issue. They don't slide around in the trees and perfectly support my double hammock with my wife and me! They also come with a carrying pouch that makes it easy to store them. For both serious and casual hammockers, this is an excellent choice!.

If you're looking for hammock straps, look no further than these
5/5

For any hammock fan, these are the must-have straps. Because of the special nylon threads, they don't stretch while in use (or if they do, it's so negligible that it's pointless to mention). It also adds a nice splash of color to the straps' design, which is always welcome. They're also exceptionally well-crafted. They can work with any kind of tree bark, from soft aspen to tough pine. In comparison to other sets I've seen, they're also incredibly simple to put together. There isn't much I can say about these straps that isn't positive. ENO: You've done an outstanding job. If you own a hammock, there should be no doubt in your mind about which straps you require. It's an easy decision. It is an investment that you will not be sorry for.

Setup is simple and straightforward
5/5

Simple to work with. It was money well spent. The ENO Atlas straps are a lot easier to use than rope and are much gentler on tree bark. I've been using this product for almost a year to hang hammocks from a variety of trees (including sappy conifers), and the straps have held up well. Even a simpleton like me can set it up in no time. Simply wrap the strap around the tree at the desired height (the higher the distance between trees, the better) and pull through the loop on the end of the strap, forming a girth hitch. Each strap has nine loops that a hammocker can use to find the perfect hang. Each strap can support a maximum weight of 250 pounds. In terms of the combined strength of the straps, you can safely hang in your hammock if you weigh less than 500 pounds. I hope you found this information useful.

One of my current favorites
5/5

This takes easy to a whole new level, in my opinion. The Atlas Straps are a joy to work with. On our recent four-day trek through NW Arkansas, I hung from these for three nights. The only way to describe these is as perfect as they come. It's small, light, and has a lot of adjustability. I have whoopie slings, but I've only used them to test them out; these atlas straps were all I needed. You'll be able to create a wide range of spans, heights, and tautness with these. You'll almost certainly have extra loops hanging from where the hammock is clipped in as a bonus. This is how I kept my gear off the ground by attaching it to this. It went off without a hitch for me and a member of my 250-person team. On a hammock, these are rated for 250 pounds each or 500 pounds total. There will be no additional stretching after the initial "set. ".
