There are only two summers that they last. In the sewing process, they made a mistake. Also, there was a spot where it seemed like the fabric I know it's a small hole, but for what it is, it's a hole. It is disappointing that the company does not keep quality control in mind.
The fabric for this gazebo canopy top replaced our existing one, and we upgraded to the "RipLock" option, which is thicker and heavier duty. For the extra $ we spent on the better fabric, I am glad we did. The software was installed last week, and so far it looks fantastic! I definitely think this is the better option than the plastic cover that was originally on our gazebo. We only have a problem with the mesh sides of the smaller square piece on top of the larger square piece. Those mesh sides should velcro to matching velcro strips on the larger square There is one corner on ours that doesn't exactly match up, and it doesn't have any velcro to attach it to.

This requires patience, but it's worth it! The value for the money was good. . . just remember that you do get what you pay for. . . You will need a lot of patience to install this, and it is best to do it with 2 people. Although it may take a little more strength to get the last corner tucked (you would never notice it unless you really really focus your eyes on it), once you get it all up you feel quite satisfied and accomplished. Although it is a lighter fabric and does not have that extra backing, it may not be quite as hot as an original. Square stitching is the primary selling point of this fabric as it is lighter. The overall experience was good, and I hope to follow up with a review after the end of summer, when Michigan summer weather kicks in and the wind, rain, and crazy heat set in.
