Questions & Answers

Please tell me how many ounces there are. In what proportion of this material is the diameter of a tree circumference used?

A large oak tree faces the front and another faces the back of the house. The problem with aphids is extremely bad because they leave sticky sugar specks under each tree. The directions tell me I should purchase two gallons for each tree based on the size and the number of trees. As a substitute, I bought half of each and put it under both. Aphids stopped appearing within a few weeks and have not returned for the rest of the year. The gallon will be applied twice with half of it Also, the front one has driveways on three sides and a street on two sides fairly close together, so I can only apply half a gallon to about 35% of the I am still getting no aphids with this product. As long as our 40' oaks are being cut, it takes a shorter time to do the job.

apple trees be treated with this method?

This should not be used at all! The systemic nature of imidacloprid means it can affect the whole tree and If you eat poison, you will die. How do you spray this around the tree base? Do you pour it on top of it?

Several inches of rain have fallen. I urge you to take extra care- NEXT TIME YOU PLANT A TREE OR SHRUB, DO NOT PUT ON A BLOOMING TREE- BENEFICIAL BEES are doomed to be exterminated by you! It was used on my Crimson King Maple that was beheaded by Japanese Beetles, and it also included flowers at the base of trees and shrubs. This is the end of the As a result of horses chewing on our trees, its bark has been damaged. I use it on that tree.

This species of Emerald Ash Borer lives in This is a great cost-effective product
5/5

We experienced a massive outbreak of Emerald Ash Borers several years ago in our area of the Midwest. We were repeatedly warned that the disease was not treatable and that the only solution was to remove the trees in the area. As most of our shade trees, which we have grown for years, were Ash trees, we decided to search for a more suitable alternative. There were no cures for the disease, however, the solution was an insecticide with 1,4-dimethylimidacloprid in it. In 2004, it was 47% cheaper, but in the following years it became prohibitively expensive. As we needed four gallons at a time to cover the diameter of our trees, and at a cost of several hundred dollars, that product was out of The search was repeated, and we Use the same 1 for both the Tree and Shrub Insect Drench and Tree and Shrub Insect Drench. I use 47% imidacloprid and have done so for the past three years on our Ash trees and on a Maple that has died A fungus broke out on the top of the maple, out of the reach of another insect. Our other trees are also doing well. Thus far, it seems to be working out well for us! We have recommended this to others in our neighborhood.

This is a great scale control system! The sooty mold on several of my rare palms, many of which are quite large and tall, was caused by a severe infestation of soft scale (Coccidae)
5/5

The use of horticultural oil would probably have worked, but due to the size of many of the palms and the difficulty of covering all leaf surfaces, both tops and undersides, this would not have been practical. While I could purchase "industrial strength" spray insecticides and use them, I dislike them as a result of This worked like a charm for me when it was used as a systemic. After a week, most of the scales had turned into dead white powdery masses that could be removed with a quick spray of water from a According to the company, the treatment should last for a year, so I'll be checking my palms in a few months and reapplying The product is convenient and easy to use as well as great value for the price. Hard scale and other pests might not react well to it, but I'm certain it will work for soft scale, so I recommend you use it if you have an issue with soft scale.

This product is as effective as the Bayer product at Home Depot/Lowes, and at a lower cost
5/5

There is no comparison between this product and the Bayer product from Lowes and Home Depot, and the Price is much lower. In contrast to Bayer, it is liquid, but easy to apply (rubber boots and gloves strongly recommended). If you have pets, the liquid may be a little safer than granules due to absorption into the soil (allow 24 hours and possibly an additional watering). It is best to prevent pets from entering the area where the product has been applied by closing the pet door. suffered with spirulosing whitefly infestations on coconut palm trees in my yard, and this product has done a similar, if not better, job of suppressing them than the Bayer product.

Ash trees are sprayed each year with a weed killer
5/5

Our use of the hose occurs every year when the leaves are shedding, and the sunlight causes the moisture on the canopy leaves to evaporate. Creating a vacuum will pull the insect drench over the top of the bark and kill beetles and their larvae that are hiding beneath. I have seen research that shows this will slow them down and I would say that we have seen some results. If you care about the environment, you should do so. There are many options available, but this is the cheapest.

A miracle happens when you use this stuff
5/5

The tree aphids were eliminated, so the honeydew mess was eliminated. An oak tree in the neighbor's backyard overhangs our concrete patio. Every summer aphids and their ant homers invade the tree and leave a sticky honeydew mess. This is no longer the case I have never seen anything as amazing as this! *An application that is easy to use (As per the instructions) I applied a full container of Compare N Save Systemic Tree And Shrub Drench during the fall of 2016. As early as possible before the rainy season, I applied the product to the tree so the tree could absorb it. Following the aphid invasion, we waited for the pest to return the following there was no sign of them. As of now, it's autumn 2017 and no aphids have been found. It goes without saying that we will apply it.

Works like a charm! For example, I used it at the trunk base of one of my "huge" pin-backs The girth of a typical oak tree is approximately three feet
5/5

It is 68 inches tall at breast height, which will help fight Spotted Lantern Flies. There is no problem with it. It appears that no SLF are landing on the tree or trunk. I will watch for activity as I do every day. Two additional pins are to be treated for other pin-related problems The forest is full of oak trees and red My goal is to protect these mature trees, beautiful trees that are mature and beautiful.

I am floored! I'm saving a lot of money! This page was last updated on May 18, 2015
5/5

This product works identically to the brand name product, it's easy to use, it does what it says, and it's very effective. We've saved a few trees with multiple ailments. We upgraded our rating to 5 stars after 1 year with exactly the same results as our brand name product. Having used this product with excellent success, the "brand name" version is what I recommend. Trees that I have had have been infested with insects, caterpillars, and various types of borer (depending on what type of tree it was). It seems that the brand name product solved the problem at least for the time being. There are a number of trees I need to treat, and most of the treatments are expensive. I'm looking for a product with the same ingredients, but at a much lower price (this substitute) It is wonderful to be able to save! The active ingredient in this is the same as in the much more expensive product, and it is in the same concentration, too. am expecting it to function just as well as the one I have been using, but I'm withholding a star for a few months (maybe a year) to make sure that it performs I will update the report after I am convinced that the trees have been treated the same way (I'm almost sure, but want to be absolutely certain, and that will require me to observe them for a while).

I found this product to be of high quality
5/5

It is thick in consistency, much like Among other things, it contains exactly the same amount of active ingredient as other brand names whose prices range from 2- $3. 00 More than three times as much. A lot of questions have been asked about the application instructions, so I took some photographs of the instructions. I just applied it today, so it will be some time before I can tell if it works. Be sure to follow the instructions when applying it. Be sure not to exceed the recommended dose. You should still wear your personal protective equipment, even if it doesn't make a difference. You should not apply it to plants you plan to Insecticides like these remain in the tissues of plants for quite a while. If you eat a fruit from a tree you treated within the last year, you are likely to have eaten some of the poison.
