My condo complex has an automatic sprinkler system which I manage and repair. A total of three 12" pops are available Several of our entrances were leaking and I noticed two of them. As soon as I noticed four missing on a Friday night, I couldn't find replacements locally online so I ordered them from Amazon on Saturday using next-day shipping The delivery will be made the following day. After receiving and installing them the next morning, I had them up and running by noon. As the pipe connection was at the bottom, I decided to just replace the interiors, the nozzle, and the cap since the pipe connection was at the bottom. Having never replaced these before, I guess what I needed and this worked out to be what I needed. I did not have to dig a deep hole this way and it was also a huge convenience if we used the side port. These heads came with adjustable nozzles, but I replaced the old ones with the new ones and saved the new ones for another time. There was no way it could have been easier to fix.
This sprinkler head was completely destroyed after my wife ran over it with the lawn mower. The first thing that came to mind was to call a repair company since it seemed complicated. Nevertheless, someone told me it was merely a matter of screwing it off and screwing it back on. Changing a light bulb is like that. As a result, I started to look for a replacement part. I tried Lowe's, Home Depot, and Ace Hardware, but nothing worked. After seeing it on Amazon, I ordered it. Basically, it's a sprinkler head that can be installed two ways. There is a common way of doing it by screwing it on and then making it disappear. Another way to accommodate my situation would be to use an elbow fitting that friction fits to a plastic hose as a bottom port plug. Whether you do it yourself or not is up to you! It is as simple as digging up the broken spray head, installing it, followed by rotating it in the correct direction. I used a hand trowel and my hands because that's what I had at hand, but if you've never used one you should. On the picture, you can see where the elbow fitting is located. It is just a little below Plugging in and out of the unit is easy, just pull it out and put it in the bottom. If this is how yours is connected, you will have to order the elbow fitting separately. In any case, I order the part and elbow from Amazon, get them quickly at a fair price, install them myself, and save a lot of money. It is also possible for you! A repair of this kind is very simple, and almost anyone can do it. As a final question, you might ask how the lawnmower damaged this sprinkler since it is used in flower and shrub beds, where lawnmowers are not used. The question may come up as I mentioned. The second word I wrote is related to the first.
In order to achieve my low-lying goals, I needed the height Sprinklers with high volume can be set up at this height, but pop ups with low volume "swirling" heads cannot. changed the factory nozzle for a low volume one by removing the factory I'm pleased with the results. -I would like to see longer bodies readily available since I saw some many years ago that were much, much taller, but I have not been able to locate It may have been that there wasn't enough market for the long ones or that they were having some issues with them.
A pop up head priced like this one had my doubts. My installation was completed within days after receiving them. The machines have been working well. I plan on making more modifications to our irrigation system and purchasing more products from Rain Bird.
My back yard is now screened with these the ground cover was acting up and preventing the 6" poplars from growing They were taking up too much space, so we put these 12" pop-ups instead We are at 3 months and everything is going well.
This is a great way to raise existing sprinkler heads for shrubs that have grown too tall for the current sprinkler heads. There is a price difference between it and regular risers, but it is a lot more durable.
In this case, the innards of one of these were used to repair a broken flower head. I replaced it in a matter of seconds. A second order of two is being placed as a backup! I saved me over $70 by not having to have the sprinkler company fix.
There is an uneven distribution of water.
