This set is far superior to the Speedball nibs, which are the worst.
These nibs provide a lot of thick and thin variation. The holder is one of my favorites, despite its low cost. I have large hands, so the holder is a little thicker than most. The nibs are also attached to the holder in a way that I find appealing. Rubber, rather than traditional metal, appears to be a better choice because it does not bend. The nibs are held in place by a friction fit.
I've only recently received these nibs, but I'm already wishing I'd discovered them sooner. I'm going to try swapping out the nib in one of my fountain pens for one of these, as I've read that others have done, but I'm not opposed to dipping in my ink bottle. I love dipping because it forces me to slow down and think about the process, which is just as important to me as the final product. I am extremely pleased with both the pen and the nibs, as well as the seller; They provide excellent customer service.
I was able to create very fine, precise lines. I hadn't touched a pen with a nib in a long time, and this one felt right at home. Both the holder and the nib are fantastic on their own. I am blown away.
This set was purchased for copperplate because I enjoy calligraphy. The set includes a wooden nib holder with rubber near the tip for comfort, as well as the nibs, which come in a handy clear box and are a dream to work with because they are flexible but not overly so, unlike some G nibs that are easily damaged with minimal pressure. br>I have to say that the nib holder, as well as the nibs, are two of my favorites. This is an excellent value set that is ideal for calligraphers of all levels.
This pen was purchased to add lines to my watercolor paintings. And it serves its purpose admirably. I am unable to comment on other applications. The pen nib appears to hold a sufficient amount of ink (or paint), and I was certainly given a large number of nibs. Only one, however, appears to be unusual. I'm not sure if the others produce different types of lines because the one I used (the largest) is more than enough for me. To encourage paint/ink adhesion, I recommend buffing the nib with a magic eraser before first use. In general, I am very pleased.
I bought this as a calligraphy nib holder for beginners. It was a good buy according to the reviews, and I wasn't disappointed. It has a quiet elegance due to its simple shape and design. The nibs can be changed quickly and easily. When the nib is in use, the cap can be stored on the end of the holder, just like a regular pen cap, allowing you to keep the nib attached. True, all of the accompanying instructions are written in Japanese. Unfortunately, because I am not fluent in Japanese or its kanji, it was of little use to me. It does, however, contain pictures that are understandable; thank you for the pictures, guys.
This is a fantastic deal for a high-quality product, and I adore it! G Pens are my absolute favorite!.
