There is a chance that you will mix up and jumble all your word level cards if you use SPIRE reading. There are two different levels of instruction for each period in my middle school class. There are a lot of phonogram cards, green, yellow, and red word cards, plus others, that I have to use for teaching levels 1 through 6. I just received them and have received my first impression. I think these will work well when I need to hold paper It is priced about right, the colors are good, and the quality looks good. There is a lot of value in these clips! I expected that they were much smaller, but they were far larger (holding binding onto a quilt). I would definitely call them XL instead of L since they are 2 inches across (over 3 inches high). Despite that, they are beautiful and work well.
