These flags are beautiful, but I've had trouble writing on them. the Sharpie Pen (my go-to pen) to) smears, and I can't seem to get even a ballpoint pen to leave a permanent mark.
I am confident in my abilities. These are made of a translucent plastic that can be written on with a pen or a sharpie.
Yes- You can't write on them because they have a slick surface. For annotating, they're ideal. It's simple to take off and put back on. However, they manage to find their way into just about every room. (for a primary school class)
Extra fine point Sharpie

Let me begin by setting the scene: I'm a college student majoring in liberal arts, also known as a "ransack the library and keep renewing the books for the entire semester, until it's finals season, and then turn in the final massive paper discussing the symbolic significance of the marbled paper in 'Tristram Shandy'" major. To put it another way, I read a lot. This year, I'm required to read 32 books, which means my bank account is going to die. BUT DO YOU KNOW WHAT CAUSES MY WALLET TO CRY JOYFUL TEARS WHEN THE REST OF ME IS CRYING PAINFUL AND SUFFERING TEARS? THESE PERMANENT PAGE FLAGS! They perform as well as any name brand I've tried, and I've tried a LOT of them. Do you need some page flags that stick to the page? Get these right away. They're inexpensive and effective, so mark those pages, y'all.
Takeaway: If you're using them on books or materials that you already own and don't need to be preserved, this is a good product. br>The reason not to use them on valuable or borrowed (library) books is that some of the tabs leave a sticky residue when they are removed. After removing the tabs from some of the packets, there was some glue left behind, and even after rubbing out all of the glue, there was still a slight shadow. And, in some packs, the tabs are sticky on both sides, so the glue from the underside of one sticks to the one beneath it. (I'm not sure if I'm putting this in the right context. ) ) While the glue problems didn't affect all of the packets, I won't be using it on anything valuable or irreplaceable. br>It's also a good thing there are so many of them because they're difficult to reuse. If all of the tabs were as bad as the faulty ones (? ) It would have gotten two stars if not for the fact that some of the packs are excellent and the overall lot is large, making it a good overall value. These are a sure bet if you have materials that need annotation/marking and don't intend to remove the tabs.
The colors are distinct enough to distinguish them, they are extremely durable, and they adhere to the keys extremely well. When you press on them, they don't move at all. I adore the fact that they come in such small packages! It's much easier for me to send them home with my students because of this.
As I was doing research, I noticed that I was running out of markers for key passages. Because I change my mind about which quotes to use, I didn't want to mark up the books (some borrowed from the library). I required a large quantity, and the ones I had cost $6 per package. These were an excellent value and the ideal size for highlighting or marking a page. It was easier to separate them because the sticky part was only about half of the total weight. I'd buy them again, but I'm not sure how long I'll have them!.
I first use them to make notes in cookbooks about recipes I'd like to try. (Yes, I'm old fashioned and prefer hardcover cookbooks! ) I grade the recipes using the colors after they've been cooked. Purple is a five-star rating, while Blue is a four-star rating, and so forth. Another application is to use different sentences to highlight them. In the case of cooking, it's a new technique or unusual ingredients. It's when I need to change a row or a stitching set in crochet. If I were still in university, I would use these to highlight text books that I wanted to revisit and points in my notes that I needed to remember. I've ordered them for my college-aged daughter-in-law, and I'll be ordering them for myself again and again. Thank you for creating such a wonderful product!.
I got these because I'm editing my book (which I printed out so I could "see" it differently than on a computer screen) and I wanted to be able to use each color to mark the POV character for each scene and write a quick note on the sticky to remind me which specific scene each one marked. The sheer quantity is incredible. Colors appear vibrant on the pads but fade quickly when removed. They'd be fine for highlighting a section of a book without permanently marking the pages, but they make it difficult to distinguish between purple and lavender and green and yellow for my purposes. They're also extremely skinny, so good luck writing a meaningful note unless you have tiny writing. To make matters worse, I haven't found a pen that works well on them in my arsenal. Precise V5 roller balls are my favorite pens, but the ink beads up on the tabs. If you can get a regular ballpoint pen to work on the plastic in the first place, it will stay put. If you have a Sharpie with a small enough point, it will work just fine. My Sharpie is too big to write a decent note with. I'll have to come up with one-word notes or just mark the POV and leave it at that.
I enjoy having an "inexhaustible" supply of flags in my desk drawer at all times. br>I'm always on the lookout for new ways to express myself. It's very convenient to have all matching sets when referencing my textbooks. Each book includes a post-it note with a set of flags taped to it with double-sided tape on the back page. tape that is double-sided (The book will not be damaged as a result of the post it note. ) ) There's also a post-it note with a color code key for each flag's meaning - br>Vocabulary, key concepts, recurring themes that I'm researching, and so on. br>Color- Coding is highly recommended for ADD students, and it was thanks to this technique that I was able to secure large college scholarships. Having color-coded workspaces is fantastic for maintaining productivity and concentration. Consistency in all of my books, as well as having a large supply on hand in case I run out of flags in the middle of an idea!.
This is fantastic. You get a lot for a good price, and they're brighter and more neon than I expected, which is nice. I was hesitant to use them as highlighters at first, but they work surprisingly well.
