S. Postage Meters are less expensive than Neopost Postage Meters are less expensive than Neopost Postage Meters are less expensive than Neopost Postage Meters are less expensive than Neopost Post Regulation 144 of the United States Postal Service Requirements: 44 Requirements: 44 Requirements: 44 Re "Only tape approved by the Postal Service may be used when meter stamps are printed on tape. " "Despite the existence of such a regulation, my company has been using postage meters for more than 20 years and has never had the Postal Service object to the labels we've used. I made labels out of large sheets of self-adhesive vinyl. When I didn't have the "official" kind on hand, I used adhesive paper, but such labels are a pain to use. br>br>In the past, I've purchased similar postage strips from local office supply stores, but even the biggest chains now appear to be out of stock. Instead of paying $23, you can save money. Neopost's 99 cents or a special-priced item I found it easier to order these from Amazon than to go to my local office supply store. Unlike my hand-cut postage labels, these labels have a handy border at the top and bottom that makes peeling the backing from the strip to expose the adhesive a breeze, and a perforation near the left end of the strip makes tearing off the unused part for small envelopes and packages a breeze. When I can't print the postage directly on an envelope, they stick and stay, meeting all of my requirements. What's not to like about them because they're less expensive, easier to use, and comply with Postal Service regulations?.
When we ran out of dm300 tapes 625 0, we bought these as a last resort. The width is correct, but the middle is not perforated. Unless you include a greeting or message on your print, this will make them far too long. They appear to jam more frequently than the original tapes, but they work fine. br>br>There isn't a lot of choice with prime shipping, but if you're in a hurry, these will suffice (since none of the local office supply stores sell anything similar).
For a $40 difference, these are better than buying direct from the supplier.
They work.
They were purchased to replace Pitney Bowes tapes, but they did not work (as a single unit). You'll need double-sided ones if you don't want them to get stuck in the machine.
These are not compatible with the meter. I have a 420 machine, but it is too wide.
It was a pain to get the meter to work.
