In June of this year (2016), I purchased a few of these for my new Brother label printer. I've been going through them one by one as I label my new crafting studio supplies. I also have a big warning for anyone considering both the P- and the P-plus. TZe-compatible touch label maker. The TZe tape, in particular, is a must-have. While this version of the printer tape has a number of significant advantages over previous Brother label types, it also has a major flaw that overshadows everything else. It TANGLES (much like cassette audio tapes used to tangle as they wore out), usually shortly after printing the cassette's first or second label. These cassettes are far too expensive to have this happen on a regular basis, and when it does, the entire cassette is ruined. br>br>I have two older Brother printers that use the smaller label cassettes, and none of them have ever tangled in all the years I've had them. Because this doesn't happen with every tape (as noted, I've been using them since June with intermittent problems), I'm assuming it's a problem with faulty tape cassettes rather than a problem with the label printer. My beef is as follows: br>br> There's no way to get in touch with anyone about this. Because the return window for the defective cassettes has passed, I am unable to return them to Amazon. I couldn't use Amazon's excellent return policy because there was no way of knowing which cassette would fail, and none did for the first ten weeks. I have been unable to contact the Brother Corporation, which is based in New Jersey (the product is manufactured in Japan). So, as the saying goes, "let the buyer beware. " I'm so disappointed that Brother's products have failed to live up to their previous high standards. br>br>Hopefully, positive reviews like this on a major selling platform like Amazon will be taken into consideration by the company. Maybe they'll notice how difficult it is for customers to contact them and make any kind of connection with their product.

I bought this two-pack in 2016 and just installed the second cartridge in my machine today, October 31st, 2018. The first label was cut off. br>br> A "printing error" message was generated by the machine. I'd never seen this error before because I'd always gotten my refills from Staples. Imagine my surprise when every second label had the same problem. This is a complete waste of time, money, and effort, and it's well past the return or complaint deadline. br>br>The only explanation I can think of is that someone is selling counterfit Brother cartridges in the original style packaging OR that Brother's Amazon items are not subject to quality control. When I buy locally, I have no problems, even if it has been years since I made the purchase. br>br>Because this has the same problems as the knock-on effect, I have no reason to buy the brand name from Amazon for triple the price, which is very disappointing.

I've bought the 2-pack for the third time. Ptouch 1/2 inch labels are supplied in a pack of five. It's also the third time that only ONE of the labels has been successful. The other label was notorious for not feeding properly or, oddly enough, not being wrapped properly on the cassette. These issues are not resolvable, as I have discovered. I never contacted Amazon about it because I used them after the 30-day return period had expired. I'm not going to get the two-pack. There's no need to pack anything else. It's far too costly for just one cassette tape.

In October of 2015, I packed a backup tape to have on hand when my current one ran out. When I went to use them, I discovered that instead of printing black on white, as advertised, the tape printed white on black. The clear cover began to separate, jamming my machine, so I tossed it out and tried again with the second tape. br>br>Called Brother CS with the same result. br>br> Yes, this is a well-known issue. Simply send a copy of your receipt from the last 90 days. Have you already purchased it? You've reached the end of your options. So I have tapes with a known issue, but the company refuses to stand behind their product. br>br>I'm getting rid of this one and replacing it with a Dymo, as I should have done in the first place.

This is most likely a hit-or-miss situation. I don't label my cartridges very often, but when I do, I expect them to work. This product was purchased in April of this year, and the first cartridge performed admirably. I just opened and used the second cartridge today, and to my surprise, it was completely defective! out, and no matter how hard I tried to fix the problem, it just wouldn't print. Not a single label to be found! Oh, how I despise squandering cash!.

If it had been possible, I would have given it a zero-star rating. My label maker said "No Cassette" when I inserted the new tape cassette. " I gave it my best shot. re- Putting in new batteries, troubleshooting according to the manufacturer's instructions. nothing. As a result, I gave the second cassette a shot. The situation is identical. I eventually purchased a new label maker, assuming the problem was due to poor service. I just put one of the tape cassettes into the new label maker, and it worked perfectly. "I don't have a cassette player. " " I gave the second one a shot; in the same way I put the new (but identical) cassette I bought with the new label maker to the test - it worked perfectly. These were a complete waste of money and I received nothing in return. My return window has unfortunately closed because I mistook it for my label maker. Purchase from a different source.
