The use of a credit card becomes more difficult. I divide my expenses into categories. Gas, groceries, home improvement, and so on, dividing the card balance into four, five, or even six categories is possible. (Those amounts should add up to the amount I paid on that month's statement) This only works if you pay off your credit cards each month; it won't work if you have a lot of credit card debt. On rare occasions, I may choose to pay off a washing machine in three months, just like I would with cash on a Lowes card. Simply assign that card to a category. and you will be compensated accordingly.

It's simple to use, with clear instructions, and it can be extremely beneficial to a small business. It's very simple to transfer the data into a computer-based tax program for reporting purposes at the end of the year. br>br>There is a weekly version of this record-keeping book, but we've found that the monthly version works best for us. Each month, you list your expenses and track your revenues, totaling them with a simple chart at the end of the month, and then transferring them to the next monthly section. The only "con" is that everything is done by hand, which can take anywhere from 20 to 60 minutes depending on how much you need to record. Each month, set aside 45 minutes to close out your files. We're on the lower end of that spectrum for us. br>br>I would recommend looking into some type of software for this if you have a large amount of revenue and expenses, but for a small home-based business, this has been simple to keep track of.
I've been buying this for years, and despite the fact that technology has progressed from paper to computer, as well as the need for a paper trail, I've stuck with it. This monthly accounting book has been in my possession for a long time. Good quality, easy to understand; however, near the end of the year, there are a couple of pages that are out of order. in the months of October and November I keep hoping that someone from Dome will notice and fix this. At that point, I just manually change the page titles, but it would be nice if this problem could be resolved.

It tells you when various federal taxes and forms are due, as well as how to keep your books in order, provides DETAILED instructions for its use, lists of what is tax deductible, an alphabetical list of business terms to know, and, if directions are followed, it keeps all the figures ready for you at the turn of a page. I've ordered both the weekly organizer and the mileage tracker, and I'm feeling a lot better about my new business.

Since we had our own small business, a motel, I've relied on the dome book. While I may have to change some of the categories for my household expenses, it aids in my budgeting. With Dome's help, I was able to pay off credit cards, see where money could be spent more wisely, and am pleased to report that I now have an 840+ credit rating. Purchasing on Amazon is less expensive than doing so elsewhere.
