Questions & Answers

What is the total price for both jars in this order?

There are some listings that show only the color and not I noticed that jar B isn't available in every color option as I browsed the different color options? It is confusing

What color would you like it to be?

You can be sure of that. It is then possible to paint the item with whatever type of paint you wish. Give the item 24 hours to cure before painting.

Do you have the capability of making actual figures out of this sort ?

Without a doubt! It has allowed me to create all kinds of different shapes and figures. As long as you have ample time, you are able to sculpt it with normal clay sculpting tools when wet, and use a dremel when it becomes hard. You have the time on either end to rough it out or to fine-tune A coat of paint or polish can also be applied.

It is possible to place this on a stone or rock in a garden in order to adhere stained glass or mosaic tile. You can then grout it over. Do you think this would ?

Probably would work, but grout and the actual stuff used to install tiles may be a better choice. It doesn't seem to bond well to wax, nitrile, or glass, and unless you score the crap out of the glass, I don't think it would stick.

I give this a 5 out of 5 rating When mixed, it becomes sticky, but once sculpted, it holds and holds The stuff I'm into is awesome
4/5

Figures and props are the primary purposes of my use of it As a household item, garden tool, and auto interior repair tool, it is also extremely convenient to have. Almost any surface can be used to adhere it as a filler or an When cured, it is waterproof (I'm so excited! Compared to the other two, I find the working consistency to be much friendlier. I've used epoxy putties that are composed of parts. For the past several years, I've worked primarily with earthen, polymer, or paper clays. Clays such as these allow me to cover and keep the project damp for a very long time (for paper clays and earthen clays respectively) so I can continue working on them intermittently for days at a time. I can finish the sculpting projects within 2 weeks for those that I can My needs, however, call for a 3 hour hardening time, therefore Apoxie Sculpt is perfect for me I am happy with the outcome- There is no need to fire or otherwise cure the product. As soon as it is mixed, it feels like soft polymer clay, which is easy to manipulate and sculpt, and it is capable of holding a high degree of detail. This means it is much better for projects involving multiple pieces that have to fit together "just right. " It does not shrink or crack as it cures, which makes it more suitable for projects that require multiple pieces to be molded. Despite it being cured after the first two days, the Apoxie Sculpt is not fully cured Three hours for manipulation and sculpting. After five hours, it still looks good. The surface is still soft after 6 hours you can easily press a fingernail into it. The paint is brittle and breakable when it is wet (about 24 hours), but it becomes very hard and durable after it cures. The material is sturdy, so it cannot crack or chip when carved, sanded, or drilled. This is the result). Although the painting is good, it still needs more work. Before you begin painting your piece(s), you should prime it with a good spray primer. It seems that spraying on the initial coat makes it more adherent than brushing it In spite of this, after a while- Previously primed surfaces can be painted over with subsequent coats by painting them with a brush. Those unfamiliar with this process will be happy to learn that Apoxie Sculpt comes in two different containers and that you mix equal parts from each together for about two minutes (until the As soon as you begin sculpting, you have a couple of hours to complete it before the piece begins to harden It is crucial that I am able to finish within the allotted time, so I plan that time without interruptions. For those times when the interruptions are unavoidable, I have had some luck by sticking the piece in the fridge or freezer to slow the curing (as they cure, the clay warms a small amount). It is best not to mix more Apoxie Sculpt than you can sculpt with in one sitting. You can always mix more Apoxie Sculpt and add to your project later. I use my fingers, various sculpting tools, or various brushes with either water or glue.

This is an easy product to use and it works well when sculpted
5/5

For my 3 year old's faun/satyr costume, I used it to add hooves to the toes of crocs. I really liked how easy it was to use -- it was like sticky play-doh I didn't realize it would dry to be so strong. In addition to covering the hooves with fur, I painted the rest of the crocs. I was thrilled with how it turned out! The party was a resounding success.

The tool is very useful for repairing many things and undertaking many projects
5/5

This is fantastic! On a few of my small projects, I've used it. It was to replace a speaker foot that had broken off. Using this template, the foot shape could be easily recreated. Afterward, I used a knife to cut the excess off and get the shape I wanted. After letting it cure for an hour, I cut the excess off and got the shape I wanted. By the following morning, the loop had hardened and was perfectly looped. A second project was attaching two pieces to each other, but I had to bridge a gap of about one inch. A product like this works as a glue and a filler at the same time. I particularly recommend it when trying to glue pieces together that don't have the same shape. As a result, the hardening process is nearly identical to that of This isn't the kind of thing you're looking for if you want something that stays flexible. It is recommended that you wear gloves when mixing it, but I observed that you can easily wash it In addition, this glue does not seem to change volume when it cures. It does not smell like glue typically does. This is very important when it comes to filling in A product you don't want to expand or contract is one that doesn't change size. I thought this was an excellent product. It was very.

I am very happy with this product
5/5

It works great with silicone Replacing resin with this product is a very good idea. Using this, I was able to make replicas of some antique pieces which were ornately decorated. My first time using Apoxie Sculpt was my first time making replicas with liquid resin and I had a lot of air bubbles that made the finished product look unprofessional. I have never produced replicas with liquid resin before so I was excited to try this new product. Because I'm pressing them into a mold rather than pouring them, I have to be aware of fold lines, but I didn't have much of an issue with this and the castings actually look as nice In spite of the fact that I have yet to figure out how to smooth out the backs, I doubt I will use liquid resin again for this particular project. After allowing them to cure for 24 hours as required by their instructions, they dropped right out of the silicone molds as intended. The resin has cured very hard, so it actually feels like the resin I have used since I was a teenager. My choice was the black variety of Apoxie sculpt, and it is an opaque, rich black with just a hint of shimmer, but not enough that I really notice it, which is good since I prefer matte pieces like this. In the future, I can't wait to play around with this My hands stained a little bit, so I will wear rubber gloves next time. I wasn't sure if this stuff would pick up as much detail as liquid resin, but I'd say it is comparable. I like the lack of air bubbles although it was a little dusty. The smell of liquid resin is also not as bad as with powdered.

My experience with Apozy sculpt plain and white has been great for years
3/5

Black, however, is a complete disaster. The black paint was purchased so I didn't have to paint all my little pieces with black paint after they were made. The black gets purple all over the place when you use a ball point pen. Use caution if you use it on anything, as it can spread from your hands to other parts of your piece, as well as the table, your clothes, etc. Even though it does wash off your hands eventually, I think it would be easier to paint the white black than using this pre-treatment This is the result of making it.
