It has taken me many years to go through all the desk pads I now own. A heavy paper was used for this calendar. As with all desk pad calendars in recent years, the pad backing and protective corners are flimsy despite their high price. In the modern day, it is the norm, so I have no use for disappointment about that. Glue is not used on the top of the table I like hanging over a desk with elbows and a sliding laptop, rather than using the desk at all. This calendar is colorful, yet it is not overly bold. There are two holes on top where you can hang the whole thing, or one month at a time.
