Questions & Answers

There is an application that requires me to cut off parts from 3/8" - 1/4" The width of a letter envelope is 1/4". How deep is the cutting depth of this model, and can that amount be cut off as well?

To avoid confusion, it would have been better if you worded your question differently. As far as the envelopes would allow, I put them in. Using this machine, I have cut off 3 to 4 centimeters at the most. I am satisfied with my purchase and have had no problems with it.

Is it necessary to sharpen cutting blades at any point? In terms of its actual measurements, what are they? How much do you weigh? The color of the flag? Where can I find a warranty? Does the noise level matter?

blades of the cutters never need to be sharpened. For the opener itself, it measures 10"L x 7"W x 4"H and for the handle, it measures 5"L x 2 1/2"W x 2 1/2"H. The following symbols will fit 8 by 12 Adding 2 and 8 results in 16. The shipping size is 8 inches. There are three grams in it. The weight is six Low noise operation is a feature of this machine. It is gray as shown in the picture. It is covered by a 90-day parts & labor warranty. It is my pleasure to answer any questions you may have.

Anyone know of a quiet letter opener?

In my desk drawer, I have a Martin Yale 1616 Premier Letter Opener. Since I first used it, I have continued using it. I would not consider it particularly loud or loudly noisy, but it does make a whir as it passes through. It is my pleasure to answer any questions you may have.

Can it be bought at a store- Does your local store carry any of these (Staples, Office Max, Walmart, Target)? Are there any limitations on the size of the envelopes it can ?

The envelope can be opened by any thin object. With the envelopes I used it with, it measures 10" x 13". As it is an open throat design, the possibilities are pretty much endless. It is my pleasure to answer any questions you may have.

The WORKS! It's sturdy and it's dependable! The dream becomes a reality
5/5

the thought that surely someone had invented an electric, sturdy letter opener that could be operated with just one hand. To help me open and recycle junk mail at home, I wanted this device. It is so satisfying to feed an envelope through this machine, and to have it come out ready to be sorted, shredded, or paid. Some of the tops of envelopes don't open when I feed them through the machine, but that usually is due to how I feed the envelope.
It took me some time to get used to pressing the envelope into the machine in order for it to run properly. It is indicated by an arrow pointing towards the machine, which means to press the envelope into the machine. It is once more the pressure that makes the difference. It feels sturdy in an unsturdy world, and that seems to be appealing to me. I appreciate your help.

This is a great little machine
5/5

It has been used in the office for several weeks without any problems. 150 envelopes are opened every day by our staff. Is exactly what it should be.

The total amount of waste I recommend that you do not purchase
3/5

Initially, this item operated in good condition however, a few envelopes got stuck or needed to be re-tapped As of the second week, production was down and the trend was downward. By week 5, the whole thing had been locked up. In that situation, I requested a return, only to learn that there would be a 30-day waiting period You had reached the end of your return window! I inquired about warranty service, but found it would be more costly and time-consuming to pursue that route than replacing the item. The letter opener is running like a dream for months now after I purchased a reconditioned Panasonic letter opener (the same brand I had owned for SIX years).

During its brief existence, it was good
3/5

This is a durable product. Vibrates or moves down the table, not vibrating. I used it for a couple of years, and it worked perfectly. Therefore, the letters didn't get opened on a consistent basis. I tried everything to get it to work, but it froze. There was nothing abnormal about it. It was not possible for me to fix this case after I opened Since it was a good name product and expensive, I am a little hurt. I like its weight and how it looks and feels I don't want to get rid of it. It would be better to.

This would be a good recommendation
5/5

The first time you figure out you need to let the envelope go through without guiding it, you will find it quite helpful, although the sound is a little loud. Using this device has saved me a lot of time by letting me not have to use a traditional letter opener. I typically open 400 envelopes a week at my office. This would be a good recommendation.

Open letters electronically with an electric letter opener
4/5

Reviewing this is something I have been holding off on. It is difficult for me to open mail envelopes in the same way every time. My experience has been that running one end of the envelope is better than running it top to bottom. Material with a thicker wall may need to be run twice through the envelope opener. I also think there is a learning curve for using the envelope As I use it more, I find that it gets better.

The material is not durable
3/5

As light as it is, it is so easy to move around that it needs to be held down while you use it. Choosing a more commercial unit is recommended if you plan to open a great deal of envelopes.
