My belief is that it is not true. It is the first time that I have heard of acrylic colored pencils.
The colored pencils in this set are not erasable, but there is a brand of Prismacolor colored pencils that are. Prismacolor Premier Collagen is the name of the product. A white eraser can be used to remove This is what I hoped would help.
It is true that each pencil comes with a label identifying the color
There is a label on mine that says it is made in Mexico.

In order to purchase these pencils for my daughter, who is beginning to study art at school, I went to the local arts store. Since I knew the set would cost at least $100 in stores and on other websites, I didn't want to spend much when she was just getting started. If you look at them, you wouldn't know they are not Prismacolor pencils, because they have a Prismacolor stamp on them It's an off. The only time we realized these pencils could possibly be Prismas was after my daughter began an advanced art class. Leaving streaks on the work, they have a chalky or waxy consistency and do not fully blend. Her other, smaller set of Prismas also blend beautifully and have a lot more pigment than her other set. I will try to add a photo to this review as soon as I get it. This package is a good choice for anyone who is a casual colored pencil user, or if you are planning to buy a set of pencils for a beginning artist. The pencils in my set do not appear to be genuine. However, they are highly pigmented and seem to blend fairly well, when To get the best performance, I recommend paying the extra for a set from an art supply store if you must have real Prismacolors.
For the past year I have been using these pencils on my coloring books, and I have effectively gotten rid of all the other pencils that I had.
These soft core pencils make it easy to get bold colors without killing your hand due to having to press so hard. I am by no means an artist, but I am sure feeling like one with these pencils! It is possible to choose from a vast array of styles when it comes to It is even easy to blend and do an ombre.
I like the selection of colors with each being numbered and named. *See photo
This pen has a buttery writing feel, and the colors flow effortlessly on the paper. Rich, full color coverage can be achieved without any Besides the tin case, it looks nice and is handy.
72 sets, one pencil was cracked. When I received the 72 set, I discovered a full-size, cracked yellow pencil inside. Therefore, make sure you check all of your pencils over right away and sharpen them as soon as possible in case they might crack. You will be doing a lot of that as these pencils have VERY soft leads and wear down pretty fast. The lead actually breaks and so it is not a pencil for a child. Beginners are advised not to use these pencils. Press firmly but not too hard, and turn your pencil consistently so that the pressure doesn't build up only on one side and the lead wears evenly as it wears. It is not worth the $7 that Prismacolor charges for their black The case it is in is so cheap that I can't open it to empty it. It's a great sharpener, but the case is no good, either. The second day has arrived. Another thing that stuck to one of the sharpeners was a piece of very hard graphite that had come from a pencil, stuck way down in the bottom (like most sharpeners, this one also had holes for different colors). Previously sealed in an Amazon box, this item came from Prismacolor. It's still cheaper than what you find at a grocery store, even without that weirdness. A new one is on my wish list. In a few short weeks, we will have gone from #3 to #4. I am unsure that what to do next is the right move. A lot of people had a great experience with Prismacolor. In a day when I just ordered a new yellow pencil, I'm not sure if I'll ask for a replacement or refund, but I will definitely write to the store to inform them They are not going to believe me, I am afraid.
The colored pencils are Prismacolor Premier pencils! I cannot believe this is true! Since I was a young child, I colored with colored pencils of all kinds. For AS LONG as I can remember, I always used Prismacolor Premier pencils. Prismacolor Premier is a blending machine, a pencil you'd buy for a 4 year old at your local Dollar Store at $1 or more. I purchased it from Amazon because it was a great deal. Sharpening these does not work as well as this! It takes both good and bad pencils to cause issues, from broken cores to scratchy lay downs to color that is extremely waxy. As well, I find that the color swatches are not accurate at all! As a big fan of a reliable brand of colored pencils, I am extremely disappointed to receive the exact opposite. I do not like returning items because they end up being tossed out, I'd rather donate to a senior center or a charity that does not care about these issues. In addition, there are quite a few pages in one of my favorite coloring books (World of Flowers & Gifts) that I have ruined as well The flawed color pencils are almost as disappointing as the flawed circle of life. Here are some pictures of the pencils showing their cores and just how short they became after they were used for the very first time. Aside from that, I tried three different sharpeners (Farber Castell and K&N) I tried two of Prismacolor's colors. None of them worked. A real set of my beloved Prismacolors would be perfect for me. Please let me know your thoughts and wherever you bought the 150ct. If you know first hand whether the 150ct. Is better quality than the 72ct. People in the artist community seem to have different opinions. It looks like Amazon is going to stand against this supplier and solve the problem! It really disappointed me and I am Hope the problem can be resolved or advice can be given.
Blending colors has never been easier with these pencils. Take care not to drop them, as they can be broken by dropping. Hand sharpen them to prolong the life of In the event that certain colors are used frequently, such as apple green, you can purchase them individually rather than purchase the entire box. Here's something to keep in mind before you shop on Amazon. The 'sold by' company should be taken into consideration. When I bought a set from a company with a foreign sounding name, they were knock-offs! My first impression was that it was obvious when I opened the package. On the above photo, pencils #1,3,5 are Prismacolor pencils from left to right. False items are the rest. They are named the same, but there is a difference in the colors.
There is only one pencil I dislike and that is the lime green pencil that does not seem to sharpen. This just has tons of broken "lead" on it. All of the other pencils are fine, so I think it must be a defective pencil.
Colours that are good. They only get 3 stars from me because I often see breaks in the center part of these pencils when I sharpen them, and I have to sharpen them until I find one that doesn't have a break in it. The result is that pencils wear down quite quickly. Apparently dropping them on the floor can lead to this, but I haven't done this yet. I do not know if there is a defect in them, or if they were dropped before they reached.
