Questions & Answers

When the stool is open, how high does it stand off the ground?

The stool is 9 inches tall. Carol V.

This stool is listed as weighing 10 pounds in the product information, but the shipping weight is listed as 3 pounds. Is this a ten-pounder or a three-pounder?

I'd say no more than 3 pounds. It's not too heavy.

This isn't going to be folded. I'll also be on the move quite a bit. Is it capable of remaining in the "locked up" position for an extended period of time?

Yes, it remains firmly in place. I lift dumbbells on the floor, and this small stool has withstood the weight of many heavy dumbbells without folding or cracking. I had no idea the stool was as good as it is, but it is fantastic, and I am confident you will enjoy it.

After reviewing nearly every folding plastic stool on Amazon, I've decided that this is the only one I'd like for my mid-century modern home
5/5

The wife of a 70-year-old man. After reviewing nearly every folding plastic stool on Amazon, I've decided that this is the only one I'd like for my mid-century modern home. The wife of a 70-year-old man. Every night, she climbs into bed with hers. I saw far too many accident descriptions and pictures of other people's injuries pop up on my screen. Corner hinges and collapsing/cracking tops should be avoided. As a craftsman who studied industrial arts, I created thousands of objects out of a variety of materials. br>For what it is and what it is made of (in comparison to the non-), it is a good buy. Rubbermaid caters primarily to Asian customers. created disasters in the making- I don't want her on anything else in the lightweight folding plastic stools about which I spent several nights reading other people's reviews. She threw away the piece of garbage she had. trash. br>After that, I bought a second one to use after thoroughly inspecting it.

Junk
3/5

Rubbermaid products were once manufactured in Ohio, but you can probably guess where they are now. (HINT: It has a "C" in the beginning, but it isn't Canada. ) That would be fine if the thing was put together correctly. This was supposed to be a one-time thing, right? I was hoping for a piece foldout stool similar to my old one, but I didn't read the description carefully enough (zero stars for me). Instead, the top snaps onto the legs on one side, and one of the snaps on the stool I received is slightly misaligned, making it a real pain to use. I gave up after trying to cobble it together. The return receipt is already on its way to me.

The kids will love it! I needed a stool to help my granddaughter reach the bathroom sink, and this is exactly what I needed
5/5

Because the space is limited, this folds down completely fat and surprisingly thin. It's sturdy and the perfect height for a three- or four-year-old at the sink when it's open. In addition, it is extremely stable. It has made me very happy. As the grandkids get older, I'm sure I'll find other uses for it, and I like being able to fold it flat and tuck it into the side of the cabinet or beside the toilet. It is very easy to conceal! br>br>It's just over an inch wide and 17 inches tall when folded flat, by 13 inches tall when unfolded. It measures 9x12 inches at the top and 10x13 inches at the bottom. When I open it into a stool, I find that I have to push very hard to lock it in place, but once it's locked, it's very stable. There's a light image of a lock with an arrow to show me where to push to lock it (it's obvious what to do, but this image should be bolder anyway), and an image of an open lock with arrows to show you where to push to unlock it. The base is equipped with small rubber feet. The sides of the top fold in as you open it to fold it flat. You don't need much space because the top stays up and is thin and long for storage, but you do need at least 17" of depth or height. br>br>Very sturdy, difficult for me to tip over, and not at all slippery.

Sssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss I've finally found a sturdy, easy-to-fold step stool that's also tall enough
5/5

I made a few mistakes prior to purchasing this one because I was trying to save money, which resulted in me spending more money in the long run due to poor decisions. Don't make the same mistakes that I did! This step stool is used by the resident toddler to reach the sink, and it also allows me to sit on it while bathing. The slip surface is large and easy to clean. It's super easy to store and take on trips because it's so small when folded.

Strong and beneficial
5/5

This will come in handy not only in the kitchen, but also in some modern vehicles, such as SUVs. The advantage is that the stool can be folded once in the car until I need it again. I don't have enough room in the kitchen to keep it open all the time, and it's a little inconvenient to have to snap it open every time I use it. (I also have a habit of pinching myself when I close it. ) ) I am, however, a true plus size (2X women's size), and I have no concerns about this collapsing when I use it. It has a lot of power!
. NOW IT'S SIX MONTHS LATER. br>I've changed my rating to a five-star rating. Despite what I said about having to open the stool every time I use it, I adore being able to reach and put things away without having to rely on my husband for assistance. "I love my stool!" I tell myself every time I sit on it. " I've even figured out how to open and close it without getting pinched over time. " I adore my stool and the freedom it provides me.

It takes an hour to remove the sticky glue from a sticker
3/5

I wasted an hour attempting to remove the sticky glue that had been used to adhere the sticker to the step stool's top. Although the stool appears to be sturdy and slim, the glue stuck to the top has prevented me from using it. The CEO has obviously never opened this product in the manner in which a consumer would. If he had, he would not have allowed the company to sell the item in this condition when a simple fix of two inches of "scotch" tape would suffice. Come on, Rubbermaid! It appears that many hours of engineering went into making a good step stool, only to be ruined by poor packaging. After an hour of pulling and scraping the stretchy glue (using a variety of techniques such as gloves, towels, and WD-40), 40), a small amount of glue remains on the top.

For the RV, this is a good step stool
5/5

We purchased this small step stool to keep in our RV. Even with my 200 pounds of pure awesomeness standing on it, it performs admirably for that purpose. I didn't have any concerns about it collapsing under the weight of my fit-but-fat physique. After reading some of the reviews for some of the less expensive RV stools, I decided I needed something that wouldn't break or hurt me. This worked well for us on our trip last week; the kids mostly used it to get into their beds without having to jump or use the cabinet handles as ladders. I'm thinking of getting another one for the trailer's front. br>br>I would highly recommend this stool to anyone who has a similar well-fed body type and is concerned about the cheaper stools.

This is an excellent step stool
5/5

The step stool is fantastic. It's necessary for me to reach the top shelves of my kitchen - This stool is also ideal for the itty-bitty bathroom. Between the refrigerator and the cabinets, there is a small gap. When you step up on it, it flips open easily for use and locks in place. (You can also use a small push to manually lock it in place. ) ) Fantastic design and build quality!.
