Questions & Answers

I'm curious about the height of this stool. ?

It's 9. To the first step, add 5", and to the second step, add 19. 5" from the floor to the top of the stool

What is the maximum weight it can support? (Adult)?

It serves as a convenient step stool for my husband(180).

Is this stool's top step flush against a wall or a cabinet? I'd like to know if my 2-year-old son is still alive. year- Could it be used to wash hands at the kitchen sink by people of all ages?

The angle of the back vertical is slightly obtuse, not quite 90 degrees. As a result of this, there is a 1. With the help of a wall or cabinet face, a 25" gap was formed at the back of the top step. The step is very sturdy, and there isn't a lot of space between the steps.

How thick is the wood used to construct the framing? Is it correct that the bottom leg measures about 3/4" x 1 1/2"?

I just measured mine, and you're right on the money; it's slightly over 3/4" (like 13/16") and exactly 1 1/2".

IKEA is a great place to start if you're looking for something affordable HUGE REDUCTION IN THE PRICE! Stool is adequate for its purpose
3/5

We purchased it without first checking with the manufacturer. It costs $19 right now. On the IKEA website, the price is $99 for a set of three.

This stool is fantastic
3/5

It's ridiculously expensive, costing twice as much as the fair market value. This stool is fantastic. It's twice the fair market price. br>I bought this stool to build a learning tower, it's a good product, sturdy, and I have no complaints. br>I had never considered going to the Ikea website because I assumed it would be reasonably priced. br>I'm just fed up with the rip-off.

Finish with fine sandpaper, stain, and beeswax to make it look really nice
5/5

To get to the top shelf of my bookcases, I needed to use a step. This is perfect; the assembly was simple, and I used Minwax "Golden Oak" to finish it. I'd prefer "Puritan Pine," but I already had a small "Golden Oak. " To give it a little water resistance without making it slippery, I applied a single coat of linseed oil and a beeswax-based finish. It appears to be excellent. br> The screw heads are the only thing that can be seen. I'm leaving them exposed so I can tighten them as needed, but I'm thinking about drilling in some dowels and gluing everything together for a cleaner finish down the road. br>The only tools I needed were included in the kit, and I simply applied the stain with old rags.

It's not the same wood that was previously used
4/5

I already own one of these stools, and I adore it. That one I got about ten years ago and it's still going strong. Because we raised the shelves in our pantry, we needed another one. These items were no longer available at IKEA. As a result, I was relieved to discover that they are available on Amazon. The first stool I own, on the other hand, is made of a much denser wood than this one. It is heavier than the new one as a result of this. The new one, on the other hand, feels less sturdy because it isn't as heavy as the old one. So, to me, the light weight is a disadvantage. br>My husband claims that the new one is made of poplar, which dents easily. such as the material used to construct my kitchen cabinets. so- Poplar does not appeal to me). All that aside, the weight limit is 225 pounds, and I'm 250 pounds, and it hasn't yet fallen apart or broken. br>Assembly could only be done by one person. The instructions are standard IKEA fare. I don't like reading instructions in general, so I got a few pieces mixed up and had to undo and re-do some of it. However, in the end, I was able to complete the task without difficulty. br>I wish the wood was more dense. But it'll suffice. br>I purchased this about 5 months ago and have had no issues with it.

What is there not to like about this? This one isn't as expensive as most wooden step stools
5/5

This is due to a simple reason: It's made of bare wood that hasn't been stained or finished. There won't be any issues. It can be finished in a wide range of ways. I used Birchwood for this project. Casey is a true professional. Because it's simple to apply (with a cloth) and doesn't drip, oil is a popular choice. To achieve a nice luster, apply several coats, drying between each one, and lightly sanding in between. Before putting the pieces together, make sure they're all finished. I'm sure spray polyurethane would be easier and faster, but it doesn't penetrate the wood and may be less durable. br>br>This is real wood, birch, according to what I've read, and it looks great. Not laminated particle board, which will deteriorate in a year like so many others. br>br>I'm not sure what any of the reviews mean when they say the assembly is difficult. The steps are straightforward and easy to follow. The allen wrench that comes with the kit makes installing the screws a breeze. br>br>The stool has an IKEA stamp on it, but I checked and it is no longer available. It's possible that their remaining stock was bought by another vendor. Yes, I'm aware that they used to be $19 each. IKEA rates the stool at 95, but given its high quality, I had no qualms about paying $40 for this Prime-delivered unit. It has a great look and is the perfect size for reaching higher cabinets or simply sitting down to tie your shoes. This is a good step stool if you don't mind putting a clear coat on it.

Not only for stepping up, but also for sitting on, at a height of 20"
4/5

This multi-functional device This is exactly what I've been looking for in a stool. I needed a 20" isometric exercise stool that could also serve as a sturdy general-purpose stool. Stepping stool with a purpose. After tossing out the Allen tool and ignoring the graphics-related instructions, I was ready to move on. Construction went relatively smoothly despite the fact that there were only instructions. The packaging was excellent, and all of the components were included. br>The first thing I recommend doing is to toss out the included Allen wrench and replace it with a real tool of the same size (wish I knew what size that is). Not only is the Allen tool provided insufficient for turning the bolts (due to the tight pre-tension), but it is also insufficient for removing the bolts (due to the tight pre Even with a professional Allen wrench, drilling holes takes a lot of hand strength, but picking it up off a hard floor takes something I don't have. br>There are no labels on any of the parts, and only the nearly useless graphic instructions serve as guidance. To help visualize how things will fit together, I recommend laying everything out on the floor in a plan view. The completed assembly is deserving of my five-star rating, but the naysayers cost this company one. The stool has a solid, long-lasting feel to it. It's a good choice for those who want a simple but functional stool that's sturdy but looks like it belongs in a classroom.

The stool is fantastic
5/5

This was exactly what I needed in my kitchen, which was designed for giants. I leave it out because I need to use the stool to get into my cabinets on a regular basis. My husband found it relatively simple to assemble the stool; It's relatively light but very sturdy, and it almost matches my kitchen's color scheme. Although the bottom step is a little narrow, this stool was an excellent purchase!.
