Questions & Answers

I'm a senior who wants to use a stool to clean areas near the floor. Is this something that would suffice? Thank you very much. ?

I'm a senior as well, and I do the same thing on my stool. As you sit and stand again, make sure you're well supported. To reach items in the back of cabinets, a grabber comes in handy.

How tall are you?

These are the measurements of the stool: br>Height from the ground to the top- step: br>Height to first step: 14" 7"br>top diameter: 7"br>bottom diameter: 7"br>bottom diameter: 7"br>bottom diameter 11- 1/4"br>Diamater (base) at the bottom: 16"

I need to replace the bottom rubber ring; where can I get one?

I'd send a message to Cramer. When one of the springs stopped springing back, I contacted this company. Because I just got in touch with them this week, I'm not sure if they'll send out the replacement part.

Cramer's website states that it supports up to 350 pounds, which is different from what is stated here, which states that it supports up to 500 pounds. Which option is the most appropriate?

The original ad appears to have made a mistake; the weight limit is 350 pounds.

Avoid At All Costs I have a rolling step stool that I've used for years, but the rubber pieces around the bottom and middle have worn out
3/5

I attempted to locate replacement parts but was unable to locate the company. So I decided to buy a new one, and based on the reviews, I chose this one. A MAJOR MISTAKE! br>It is divided into two parts. The assembly does not necessitate the use of any tools. Simply push the pegs on the top piece into the holes on the bottom piece until they snap into place and are secure. I did. I climbed on top of the stool to reach an upper cupboard, and the next second or two were a blur as I stepped down. I slammed into the kitchen floor with a thud. One of the three sections had come loose from the "secure" holes. A trip to the ER, two CT scans, and more than a dozen X-rays were all required as a result of this faulty stool. I missed a week of work as a result of the rays. To make matters worse, my medical bills are now approaching $1,000, and that's with insurance. br>I do not advise this two-step process. a piece of furniture!.

These, in my opinion, are the most useful step stools
5/5

If you've ever worked in a lab, this is the step stool you're familiar with. Mine was delivered in a sturdy box with no dents. I assembled mine by laying the top flat on a carpeted floor, carefully aligning the 6 pins with the holes on the bottom piece, and pressing down near the area of each set of pins until they are partially through the hole, then moving on to the next set, and so on. It can then be pressed into place without causing damage. These things aren't supposed to roll in a straight line. These, in my opinion, are the most useful step stools.

Assistant who is short in stature

I need one of these everywhere because I'm 4'9" tall! This one can be found in my kitchen. It's simple to kick it around to where you need it, or kick it out of the way so you don't trip over it if you're a normal sized human. When you stand on it, it stays put, making it feel very safe and sturdy.

Why did I wait so long to use this in my kitchen? When I was younger, I recall seeing these king-sized stools in the library
5/5

This would be a lot easier to use in the kitchen if I couldn't reach the upper shelves, I reasoned. I've been dragging a wooden stool around with me, which is inconvenient. It will now be thrown away. For over a year, I had this rolling step stool on my wish list. I finally purchased it, and I'm not sure why I waited so long. I keep it in my kitchen and can roll it away with a nudge of my foot if it gets in the way. It's always there when I need it, and it's just the right height for my upper shelves. I'm no longer afraid of taking down or putting away items that are too high off the ground. I don't have to bother my tall husband with getting things for me or dragging the stool out. This is incredibly useful. I'm glad I took the plunge and bought it. It appears to be the same with all of my stainless steel appliances.

Something else is what I'd buy
3/5

For about 6 months, this stool was effective. It's in our master closet where we use it to reach high objects and to sit on while putting on socks and shoes. When weight is applied, the wheel shafts are supposed to retract, but they seem to catch on the sides of the shaft guides. I tried putting some silicone lubricant on the wheel shaft to make it slide better, but it only works for a short time. These appear to be mass-produced at a low cost. Also, the rubber strip that holds the stool in place against the floor slips off, and I've had to reattach it a few times. I'll keep using it until I break something, at which point I'll spend the settlement money on a better solution.

This product's usability is harmed by its poor packaging; if possible, locate one locally
3/5

This is an excellent item in theory. I'm on my third one now, and I still don't have the awesome stool that I had hoped for. Amazon was used to place the first order. It didn't roll very far after being assembled before one of the sides began to drag on the floor. Upon closer inspection, I noticed that the base was not perfectly round, indicating that it had been damaged during shipping. I contacted Cramer, and their customer service was extremely helpful, offering to send a replacement as soon as possible, as well as a larger box so that I could return the assembled stool that I already had. The replacement arrived quickly, and the boxed stool was in laughable condition. I didn't bother assembling this one because it was completely crushed on one side, as was the stool base inside, so I called Cramer again. The same person apologized and explained that this happens from time to time, but that they ship these things all the time and that she'd be happy to ship another, and that this one could possibly be double boxed. That one showed up today - The same single box as the first two, and while it is the best of the three, it is still out of balance, with one side hanging lower than the rest, limiting its ability to scoot in any direction other than a right hand curve. br>br>As a result, this stool is a great idea. It appears to be constructed of high-quality materials, with strong springs and other features. I've seen them elsewhere, and they're usually simple to use and useful to have on hand. The issue with getting one through the mail is that they come in a plain cardboard box that isn't designed to withstand the rigors of FedEx or UPS delivery. I feel silly calling again to have yet ANOTHER one sent to me, but I did spend fifty dollars on a stool so that it would be awesome. This isn't very exciting. This is nothing more than a clumsy rolling stool. Everything will be fine.
