In the past, Costco sold this stool with a higher handle, which provided excellent support and safety. The current model's handle is extremely short and useless.
The Cosco Folding Stool is a nice stool, but it's a lot smaller and shorter than we expected, and we can't use it to sit at our counter because it's too small. We did order another folding stool, this time a three-step stool, but it's too high to use at the counter. Perhaps it would be appropriate for small children.
I bought this to help me get to the top shelf of my kitchen cabinets. The steps, on the other hand, are not to my liking. The steps are too small or the handle is too short for this purpose. br>br>I don't think it's safe to use it for that.
I've used it a few times since buying it because I have a lot of hanging plants in my home: I water them with a stepping ladder because I'm vertically challenged. It's sturdy and will support my weight, as well as any other items I might be carrying up the ladder. It doesn't slide out from under me (though I do have carpeting throughout the house, so that should be considered). I can also say that it holds a reasonable amount of weight above the weight limit, despite what it claims: I believe it weighs 200 pounds. , despite the fact that the item's description reads 220. I'd put my faith in the item's description on this site. I'd go so far as to say it can hold a little more. This is an excellent purchase. Thank you so much.
The opening mechanism is poor, the feet are slick, and the seller's return policy has a restocking fee. It was built on a shoestring budget. Hinges stick instead of gliding, requiring two hands to open and pushing the entire range of motion. Because the bottom feet are plastic instead of rubber, they slip and slide on the floor. I wanted to return it, but the seller's return policy stated that there would be a restocking fee, which would cost me more than the item's price.
I found exactly what I was looking for. Very sturdy step stool with just the right height for reaching the upper cabinets in the kitchen. It's simple to set up and take down. On the steps, there are good non-slip grips. When you pull out the black knob and let go, it will lock into place. When you're ready to close it, pull the knob again.
This stool appears to be well-made and sturdy. It is, however, much smaller than it should be for maximum safety. It's smaller in every way than I expected (not because it's smaller than its description, but because I didn't put the description together properly in my head). br>br>As a result, you can't hold onto the top handhold while on the top step, and the bottom step doesn't extend fully out from under the top step, making stepping back down to the bottom step a little difficult. On the plus side, it's a lot easier to put away when not in use than I had anticipated - It simply hides behind a partially open door.
