Questions & Answers

In comparison to the leather or bonded leather found in most office chairs, how would you describe this vinyl? in terms of comfort, thickness, or durability?

Because it was a little smaller than a standard office chair, I admit it didn't look promising in terms of comfort at first. I purchased it primarily because my family is made up of larger individuals, and standard furniture has a history of breaking prematurely. That being said, it took a while for me to get a turn after my brother and sister had sat in the chair. br> It's a pleasant surprise. I have a cushioned foot stool that sits slightly below the seat and is extremely comfortable. The high back, which is common in office chairs, is not missed, and there are no issues with durability. I've had it for about 5 or 6 months and have had no issues with it. It has sliding rubber feet on the bottom to keep it from moving around. It's a little heavy to move, but that's the point: it's built to hold up to heavier people. There should be no issues if everyone weighs less than 550 pounds. The bottom cushion was firm, but it didn't make me uncomfortable when I sat on it. It loosens up a little after a few days, but it's still firm enough that you'll want to sit on it. It's comfortable, appears to be durable, and is a good thickness. The chair is at the beach house, which is a three-hour drive away, but I recall it being quite thick, around 4 or 5 inches thick in the front and 2 or 3 inches thick in the back. There's plenty of power here. br> Tighten all the nuts, bolts, and screws as much as you can with your fingers. I'd buy it again in a heartbeat. I chose a darkish red color for mine. It appears to be retro in style, and I hope that this information is useful.

From the ground to the seat, how high is it?

It is approximately 16-inches in length. The distance between the floor and the seat surface is 17 inches.

Is this chair ready to use right out of the box?

No, but it's very simple to assemble; simply screw the seat and back to the frame.

Is this a slightly-relaxed slightly-relaxed slightly-relaxed slightly-relaxed slightly-relaxed slightly-relaxed slightly-relaxed slightly-relaxed slightly-relaxed slightly-relaxed somewhat- leaning- what is the back position?

The leaning back position is definitely more prevalent. If you're looking for a task chair that can accommodate a larger person, I recommend this one: br>Safco Products 3391BL Alday 24/7 Task Chair br>The arms have to be ordered separately, which is inconvenient, but it was worth it in the end. It is very sturdy and comfortable and encourages good posture. If you require any additional product recommendations for larger individuals, please let me know. Because my partner is, we've put a lot of things to the test to see if they work for him.

It's tough, but not soft, and it's also quite heavy
4/5

I really like how big this thing is. Yes, it's big and roomy, but the arms are low enough to fit under my desk. This desk, on the other hand, has one of those pullout lap trays for a keyboard, and the arms fit beneath it. They stand about 24 3/4 inches tall at their highest point. Even though the width is a robust 23 1/4 inches between the arms and 27 1/2 inches from one arm's outside to the other's outside, it still slides under the desk beautifully. br>br>In terms of comfort, it isn't bad. It's very sturdy, which I appreciate. It's safe for you to sit down in it. However, it isn't overly gentle. This means it will last a long time even when heavy people sit in it, but it isn't a squishy, "oh my God, this is so comfortable" chair. br>br>One final point. It's quite substantial. It takes some effort to pull it out and push it back in, as it wasn't designed to be moved in the first place. It's more of a side chair, the kind that stays in one place for a long time. Having said that, it is so well suited to my desk that I am willing to put up with its weight. br>br>10/30/19 EDIT: 10/30/19 EDIT: 10/30/19 EDIT: 10/30/19 EDIT: 10/ I took pictures of it and put them under my desk. Take note of how the arms fit beneath the keyboard tray that slides in and out. Also, I used contact cement and glued furniture sliders to the plastic things on the bottom of the chair, and it glides around the carpet *easily*. The weight is no longer a factor, my balance is unaffected, and I'm sitting in a chair that's incredibly stable and maneuverable. It appeals to me. The only reason I gave it four stars is that it isn't for everyone.

Comfortable chair, but be aware that the plastic feet are easily broken off
4/5

I haven't had it for long, but so far it's been satisfactory. I bought this for my own use because the swivel and tilt office chairs I've recently purchased have plates that bend on me. I used the box it came in to lay the seat cushion on upside down, then attached the sled sides to the seat, I attached the back cushion to one side but the other was too far out, so I had to brace one side against my body while pulling the other side in with my left hand and screwing it together with my right hand; it would have been easier with some help. br>br>The materials appear to be well made, except for the plastic feet on the sled, three of which were broken out of the box, the pin/peg that holds them in place broke off, and I had to pull two of those pins/pegs out with pliers so they didn't scratch my floor; the feet will stay on the sled, but without the pin/peg, the metal sled will make contact with the floor, making the chair wobb Instead, I bought some self-adhesive felt furniture pads and used them to protect the sled and my floor. It isn't a big deal to me, so it has no bearing on my grade, but it may be to others. If you have carpet, you probably won't need the chair's feet, and you definitely won't want felt feet; instead, if you want feet, you should get some plastic furniture sliders or something similar. br>br>So far, I've been able to sit comfortably for six hours, thanks to the four-inch cushion rather than the standard three-inch cushion.

Putting it together is a pain
3/5

It was packaged with care and delivered on time. The pieces have a long life expectancy. It took a lot of effort to put together. It is unquestionably preferable to assemble with the assistance of others. The screws could have been a little longer. There are no washers.

It's very relaxing
5/5

It's a solid piece of equipment. For the church, we purchased two of these chairs. People who sit in them have serious back problems, but they adore these chairs and don't mind if the service lasts two hours.

This is a fantastic big chair
5/5

Great big chair, very sturdy, easy to put together with a screwdriver (took 5 minutes) and very comfortable. The ample space and firm handles make it an excellent choice for elderly people.

Big, heavy, and dependable
5/5

For a big kid, this is a big, sturdy gaming chair. It really works. It's very relaxing. The days of rocking, swiveling, and kicking the wall are no longer with us. The days of the shattered chair are no longer with us.
