At the front of the seat cushion, there is a 5 inch gap.
They do not come fully assembled in the box.
It's bonded leather, and if it's anything like my previous chair, it'll flake over time.
I'm not sure where this chair came from, but the one I bought for my mother was made in the United States. who suffers from Parkinson's disease and thus requires a very sturdy item to stand in - is STRONG. It's well-made, and the interior is well-designed. Physical and occupational therapists in the home who have seen it and sat in it have been blown away.

At first, this chair was extremely comfortable, with plenty of back support that propped me up at just the right angle. For about two years, I used this chair as an office chair at home. After a few weeks of sitting for three hours a day, the seat cushion began to deflate. The seat and back rest's center sections (especially the seat) are heavily indented, whereas the right and left sections are puffy. This causes your butt to sink into the middle, similar to how you would sit on a toilet. I've been needing to sit at my desk more recently (now 6 months later) and spend approximately 8 hours per day in this chair. I'm looking for a new chair because the cushions have flattened to the point where they are no longer comfortable. I suppose what you pay for is what you get.
Because I work at a desk all day as a student, the reviews about the cushions deflating are accurate. So I was under the impression that I was purchasing a better chair - I had been using a wooden chair from my kitchen set previously. Even adding a cushion to this chair (two, to be exact) does not make it any better. It has a nice appearance, but it is difficult to put together on your own. However, it is durable. I wish I had not purchased this chair and instead spent the extra money on something more useful. This is probably only useful in a waiting room where people will not be waiting for long periods of time. This chair irritates me to no end. lol.
These characters aren't worth the money at all! 9 months ago, I purchased four for my office. The holes aren't perfectly aligned, and you almost have to force the fit in order to use the supplied screw. They're a little lopsided and wobbly now. I'll have to disassemble them and look into options for reinforcement. They do, however, have a very nice appearance and are comfortable to sit on.
Don't waste your money; the chair was awkward to begin with, and to make matters worse, the giles were two inches off on the chair. No assistance from the seller because it had been over 20 days; we had purchased it to move offices and were gathering what we needed, so it had not been unboxed for a month. Stupid policy for 100% a manufacturing problem.
Screws that are difficult to assemble do not match holes. Delivery issues, both when it arrives and when it returns to be picked up, are a problem. There was a requirement to file a complaint. It is not something I would suggest.
It has quickly become his favorite chair in the house! It was easy to put together, and it appears to be a sturdy chair that will last for a long time.
We tried it out in our church's classroom, and it's very comfortable and easy to get out of with your arms. We're going to recommend that they be purchased for all adult classes. I'll let you know how they stand up to the test.
