Yes, in fact. I have a small MacBook Air and have had no problems using it vertically in the stand. But, to answer this question, I used the stand to hold my 16" HP Pavillion, which is a large, heavy laptop that the stand also held vertically.

It does exactly what it says on the tin. Super sturdy, and the material has a solid feel to it. Without breaking a sweat, it keeps my ThinkPad T480s in place. Seriously, it feels like it belongs on the desk and gives off a minimalist vibe, which is exactly what I wanted.
I've only recently received it, but I'm already enamored with it. I ordered this because I want to be able to work with an external keyboard and mouse while the laptop is opened flat 180 degrees. This way, the laptop's screen is at a more comfortable height for me, and I'm not bending my neck or back to work. It appears to be ideal for the task at hand. br>It appears to be a high-quality construction. The laptop is gripped by a rubber surface on the inside. It also has a rubber bottom to keep it from sliding around on the table. It's heavy enough that it won't tip over when the laptop is opened 180 degrees. I'm not sure what else to say except that I'm very pleased with it so far.
It is ideal!! Buy it. Since I keep my Macbook docked, it saves a lot of space. It is also useful for heating.
It's just arrived at my desk, and it's exactly what I needed. My Surface Laptop 3 is shown in this photo. I'm not sure what other reviewers had to say about the hex wrench that came with the stand; it worked perfectly for me. Before twisting, make sure you push in firmly.

For a long time, I've wanted a "Dock" for my Mac Book Air, but I didn't want to spend a fortune on one. I came across this and was blown away by the quality of the construction. It's a substantial piece. As a result, you won't have to worry about your computer tipping over. It acts as an anchor, securing the object. br>br>The rubber pads are what I forgot to show in the pictures. They come in threes: one on the bottom to keep it from sliding around, one on one side of the clamp, and one on the other. As a result, you don't have to be concerned about the metal clamping directly to your computer's surface.
