Questions & Answers

What are the holder's overall dimensions? not the negative space or package dimensions, but the actual carrier's outside dimensions?

It measures 9" in length. 3 inches in width 7/8. There's a small arc in the middle that adds 1/8' to the width.

Is this compatible with the Epson V600 printer?

I'm not sure if it'll work with an Epson, but I'm pretty sure it won't work with a Canon 9000F scanner. Unless I use a camera, it's pointless for me.

Is it possible to use 120mm medium format film with this?

Obviously, this is a joke

Is it possible to do an edge scan with this? or does the frame hide it?

The edges of the paper are not trimmed - Along one edge of the film, I am reading the "Safety Film." The area between the negatives is completely visible.

A Practical Scanning Tool This is a useful tool for flattening negatives or transparencies prior to scanning
5/5

It only takes a minute or two to figure out how to do it, and then it's dead easy. I'm using it with a Bessler slide copier, and the small magnets on the bottom keep it perfectly in place. br>br>There is only one problem: It's not worth taking away a star for - is that the sheet metal base comes in a plastic sleeve that is difficult to remove despite the fact that it was apparently designed to protect it during transit. With a little effort, you can pull the plastic off, but removing the residual adhesive requires a solvent (alcohol works) and a lot of scrubbing. The holder then becomes a necessary component of the scanning toolkit. br>br>As a bonus, the company that sells it has a particularly charming and eccentric way with words, and their product literature is actually worth reading.

I've been waiting a long time for this item to become available because I have a lot of old negatives to digitize and this device is the best I've found for holding the film

I can't use it on my Canoscan 9000F, but it appears to be a useful product
5/5

When I use the mask to hold negatives that I'll be digitizing with a camera, I believe it will be effective. Although I considered the price to be excessive, the mask appears to be a good and useful product.

Do you want your scans to be more accurate? Get it
5/5

I bought the 120 film version, and it's been great so far. When it comes to scanning, I use a lot of Kodak medium format film, which is notorious for curling and cupping. The Digitaliza flattens and holds the film flat, resulting in better scans than I ever got with my Epson V600's stock film holder.

Holds 120mm film in a horizontal position
5/5

This is what I'm using to keep old 120 film flat so that I can photograph it and turn it into a digital image. The magnet(s) appear to be a little stronger than required (I'm not sure if they will weaken over time), but they do the job. So far, I've used it on 20 negatives and it's been a success.

Quick, simple, even, and flat! It was flat, easy, and quick to digitally photograph some 6x6 medium format negatives
5/5

It's well worth the money to invest in a good holder like this. I tried a few things at home. I spent a lot of time coming up with solutions when I should have just bought this negatives holder!.
