Hello Lollepop18br> The 2680H has a maximum resolution of 1200 DPI (PPI); if you require a scanner with a resolution of 1600 DPI (PPI), I recommend the Plustek A320L. br> Because the A320L uses a CCD sensor, the color image quality will be superior to that of the CIS model. This scanner took the place of a Canon LIDE 700 that had served me admirably for many years. Before that, I had a Canon that I had for a long time. I purchased a Canon LIDE 400 because I was familiar with the CanoScan I/F and TWAIN I/F. Scanners are primarily used for copying to a black-and-white laser printer and creating PDF files from paper documents. I sent the LIDE 400 back because I couldn't get it to copy from its button I/F or ScanGear I/F. br>This scanner is quick and produces a crisp copy when printing. I only take photos every few years, so I can't comment on color quality or anything like that. I don't like the scanner I/F or TWAIN I/F as much as the Canon, but that could be due to familiarity. The TWAIN preview/scan I/F image is smaller than on the Canon. This scanner has an on/off/standby switch and runs off of a power cord rather than USB power. The software is installed by connecting the USB, turning it on, and then installing it. I'm using the most recent version of Windows 10, and despite not receiving the add hardware/new hardware detected notice, the installation went smoothly. br>There is no next/finished option in the multiple PDF function. Instead, you set a timer for the next page to be automatically scanned. The timer is set to ten seconds by default. I discovered that if I set it to a higher value and then hit the PDF button after my next page was in place, I could get a better result. While the timer is counting down, a finish button appears. br>I did a few test scans of color documents, and they came out much sharper than the Canon I replaced. I created a PDF of a multipage letter written in 1945 on very thin paper with blue ink, and the image turned out well. With this scanner, the scanned item must be flat against the glass, so I had to weigh down the lid to flatten the letter's creases. br>It appeals to me. Quick and thorough. Documentation that is thorough.
The PlusTech 2680H scanner is the model you're looking at. It'll take care of almost all of your scanning needs at home. It isn't particularly high-tech, as it lacks a wireless interface and is limited to Windows 7, 8 and 10. 10 OS. The software installation, on the other hand, was a breeze. Their website has all of the information you'll need to set up your scanner. STAT is currently in use. This scanner is definitely worth a second look for all of you Windows OS users out there.
I'm using it to scan old photo albums with photos that are impossible to remove, and this scanner is small enough to fit on my desk alongside the unfolded album while still being adjustable to fit each page. Scans are extremely helpful and of excellent quality.
This was purchased because I required a scanner, but I no longer require a printer. On my desk, this takes up almost no room. Quick and quiet scanning. If you're scanning documents or photos, you'll get great results.
I bought it to send pictures of my car and my ID to a car dealer. It is extremely simple to operate. It was successful - My car has been sold. I'm a 73-year-old grandmother, so there's no need for technical assistance.
