Selected User Reviews For Medical Insurance Card and ID Card Scanner (w/Scan-ID LITE, for Windows)
Having used this scanner for a few years now, it's turned out to be a highly effective tool for our clinic. We recently stopped being able to connect to it. We contacted customer support, and they were very responsive. The product is out of warranty, but they offered to replace the cardreader with a new one at a reduced cost. Now, our scanner works again. Bizcardreader, thanks for the service! Because of the quality of the customer service, we will definitely shop here again.
The card reader I bought is designed to make inputting insurance ID cards into our software program more convenient. It now takes just 20 seconds to do what used to take five minutes! I ran into just one problem when setting it up, and that was calibrating it, which was due to a third party software conflict, but once it was fixed, it's run beautifully and we're very happy with how easy it is!.
When I call technical support, my voicemail is always full, no matter how many times I call. Is there anything to worry about here? Initially, I tried using it, but it did not work continually. Now it is There is no effect other than telling me to check the connection, which I did, even buying 2 new cables and testing on 2 computers, but nothing works. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled drivers and software with no success. Would you mind getting a call/email from customer service to see if it is common or if they can help you with the issue? I'll update when I have time.
It has been a pleasure using this Medical Insurance Card and ID Scanner and produces surprisingly accurate results. By scanning the Driver License and using the BizCardReader database software, we're managing members at our indoor range with this scanner. Once connected to the computer with the included USB cable, the scanner drivers installed easily and the device was recognized almost immediately. I've used the scanner with and without the cradle, and it works well in both modes. ScanToFile may be used to copy small cards, such as a driver's license or a credit card. There's a good feature where you can be able to scan a drivers' license barcode and save the data of the user. The software has a lot of options and it took me a while to figure out how it works, but it now does just what I need it to do. I found this to be an excellent option for my needs for a fraction of what else we looked at. This is a highly recommended film! FH* * FH*.
To find out if it will work for my application, I am still researching. As I remember, this product scans both sides of a Driver License and Social Security card, and the images are uploaded to my computer as PDF files or some other types of files. However, I do not understand a way to do this or if it is possible. The software used in hospitals and DR offices doesn't exist in my office, so maybe I thought I could use this device for my smaller scale projects as I don't have the advanced software that I need to integrate this device with. I will recreate the process of downloading the double-sided image into a file/desktop as soon as I determine it I did not rate this product as highly as I would like. The scanner seems to be very small and compact and was easy to set up on the.
Work is being done on the scanner. The process of rewriting had to be repeated It needs to be calibrated after about 500 scans, but I consider that to be It would be better to improve the basic software that I chose to use. It is not possible to minimize the control panel, for instance. Even though it's simple, it takes up a significant amount of screen real estate. Your auto-distribution system may be disabled There is really no need to display the picture when you are saving, but there is no option to turn it off. It's all great! I purchased it to serve the purpose for which I bought it.
We have a lot of work and are scanning over 80 cards a day between insurance cards and photo IDs. I'm pretty sure it was operator error, not device failure, that caused the first scanner to fail a few years ago. A quick scan and good clarity are its strengths.
In order to scan from the bottom of ID cards, the scanner pulls them out from the bottom, which means the images are often too tilted or over half of the information is missing. I was told by the customer service representative that sometimes the scan has to be done twice. If the scanner showed the image after scanning, then we would be able to proceed. We do not know how the image will turn out until we open it manually, so we are unable to know whether it will scan correctly. It would not be worth purchasing if you need a solution that scans more than 60% of the time.
