Questions & Answers

The cardscan personal v9 will be compatible with the Mac, specifically Mac OS X Mavericks?

There is no Mac support for this model. According to the Amazon page, only the Executive model works with Macs, but DYMO's PDF product page shows it can work with both. For someone I set this one up on a Mac and the software works just fine (although it is only on a DVD, so you'll need to replace your optical drive if you have a more recent Mac without one), but the scanner itself is not recognized by the

Is it compatible with the 64-bit version of Windows 7 ?

The answer is yes. The operating system that we use is the same one we use at our company.

What is the compatibility of this software with Windows 7 and XP?

He told me that it will be compatible with Windows 7 after he spoke with my IT guy. As we upgraded our systems from XP to Windows 7, we did not encounter any problems with card scanners.

What are the compatibility requirements of CardScan Personal V9 for Windows 8 on 64 bit systems?

I don't think it will work. The files need to be scanned and synchronized with Outlook, and since I have I Cloud, I can transfer from Outlook to ICloud.

The overall impact
4/5

The purchase was good for my office since I had been looking for a card scanner for quite some time. There are a lot of mixed reviews about all of them. While I work from home, I had several bundles of cards taking up space and doing nothing else. I run Windows 7 and Outlook 13 on my work computer. When I scanned in my first 250 cards, the software installed fine. I was disappointed to discover that they inked in black and white. I had not taken into consideration or searched for this oversight. The scanner seemed to be capable of scanning in color to me. The scans, however, went well for the most part and allowed me to deal with my mess quickly since it is batch-scannable, which means it scans one However, it does not handle creative cards very well. It is necessary to edit them extensively. Black and white makes most cards look perfect, whereas colored cards often appear completely lost in black and white. As for translating cards from other languages, I could not find a feature that did that. As for scanning the back of cards after they have already been scanned, you can do so. Fortunately, the majority of Japanese cards are in English on one side and Japanese on the other, so there have not been any problems. You can easily use it and it is fast. Using the search bar, you can tap on a name or a company to find contacts. It is possible to sort contacts the same way. My overall opinion of the program is favourable, and I had a problem solved by it. A contact is created for each card and it is integrated with Outlook. It also integrates However, I have yet to enable or try that function. It's a product I'd buy again, but I might consider blowing a bit more money to get the extra color available on the Executive.

The product does what it says
5/5

As there were a few reviews that were less than positive (although the majority were from delighted users), I was pleasantly surprised. My experience suggests that it is very effective. The user needs to make some minor corrections when using any device that digitizes print, especially when it comes to logo fonts and other odd typefaces that appear on business cards. A stack of business cards went by in minutes, where it would have taken me a ridiculous amount of time to figure it out myself The data needs to be entered. Thank you for this purchase. I'm very pleased with it.

This works great! I bought it to use at my job
5/5

Due to the fact that the majority of cards I was tasked with scanning were from a variety of countries, I didn't have much faith in the process. I found this scanner to be very helpful. Additionally, it also takes a picture of the card and sends it to you along with your contact so if there is an error, you can easily see it and fix it.

I found the scans to be very accurate

scanning biz cards using a cell phone camera, but spent more time editing the results than it would have taken for me to type the details into a This is the business card scanner that I bought next. I like how it works. The algorithm is very accurate however, some unusual business cards will be a challenge. For the majority of straightforward business cards, the data will be captured accurately. When you have to process a lot of cards, this tool will save you a lot of time. Salesforce. com can integrate with the device by using the Scan210 software, developed by a Canadian software company.

As a general rule, keep using physical business card scanners until a more suitable alternative emerges
5/5

This is essentially the same as the earlier Personal CardScans before DYMO acquired They both hold a special place in my heart. Previously, I had tried the CamCard business card scanner for Android for a few days and I thought it was rather silly. Since I had to correct all the information by hand, because the software that uses my Samsung S5 phone's camera is unable to produce results that are comparable to what a good old-fashioned pen and paper would do Scanners used to be constructed in this fashion.

My goal was to digitize hundreds of business cards I have collected over the past few years
4/5

The product works most of the time. A scanner like this works best when the card is pretty "plain vanilla" (without a great deal of fancy fonts or On about 10% of the cards, I had to correct the data entry (the data did not import properly). As I have scanned over 300 cards, I'm becoming concerned that the rollers are beginning to slip. It results in a slightly crooked image after the card passes through the scanner because the card twists a little when it passes through the scanner. The program does not allow me to import these into Outlook, despite the fact that they claim they can. Contacts that are active in Outlook are the only ones I keep. In addition to allowing me to create and customize categories, do a second scan of the back of the card (although it does take more time), add notes, and print to an Excel sheet, I really like this application. I will be able to throw away the cards that I have been collecting and piling around the office with the help of this unit - I will reduce the amount of paper that I have in the office - The reason I bought it is because I liked.

not work with 64-bit Windows 7 A little
4/5

There is some conflict between some of the reviews here, and this software does work with Windows 7 64-bit A little. In terms of compatibility with Office or Outlook, I have no idea, but at least the Cardscan program and the scanner are compatible. In this case, the Cardscan data is not being exchanged with any other app, but I am only using the Cardscan software that came The older silver model I have at work makes a lot more noise than this one. The new model seems to be noisier than the old one. Not sure if something's wrong with it, or if it's just the new model. It is apparent that the Cardscan program is definitely outdated, as others have mentioned. It would be helpful for someone to inform them that there are Android and Apple mobile products they may be interested in. You can save contacts off as a VCF file and then import this into Gmail when they can then be sent to your mobile device (phone), but I prefer not to clutter my phone contacts with my Cardscan contacts, since most of them are not often used. We would like to have access to some kind of cloud based storage that you can access with an app, but knowing Cardscan, this would be too expensive. It is obvious that Cardscan barely supports this device and are simply trying to get as much out of it as possible without investing. I understand why they need to price them so low, since these don't sell very well.
