There's no need to worry. Only very little is included in the set up process. Downloading of software requires the internet. There isn't much information in the It sometimes fails to register on the computer, but it works perfectly most of the time. It would be nice if there was a way to scan white in I scan a document and it only scans in black around the perimeter. In this case, I would not be able to print a professional-looking document. We also do a lot of insurance cards, and I wish there was an easier way to pick a size for those cards from the drop down box. There is nothing terrible about it and I can see why it would be used for portable computing. However, I would not recommend it for a medical office as a cheaper alternative.
