There isn't any ink on the page. It's a printer that uses heat to print.
Star Tsp 100 for excellent work with my iPads.
Squareup has listed this printer as being compatible with the majority of Android devices. The square register (which most android devices do) and USB host mode (which most new devices do) must both be supported by your device. A small $5 cable (USB HOST cable) is required even if your device supports USB host mode. I contacted Squareup and inquired about compatibility with my old Asus TF300. It was, according to them.
Hello, you have the option of printing two receipts: Because this is a thermal printer, you cannot print at the same time. To print two receipts instead of one, you must configure the printer in your POS software. That is determined by the POS software you are using. br>Thank you very much.

Yes, the title is harsh, but I have two of these for my small business. I used to work for a big box store that had backups of 20 and 3 in case the first two failed. Let me tell you something. The printers have never given us any trouble. With the devices they're connected to, there's always a software or power issue. My current ones are set up with a Square stand, and my older ones were set up with iPad Air2s in 2016. Everything is plugged into a power strip hidden beneath the counters. It was fully functional right out of the box. Advice. . You'll never have an issue if you make sure that whatever you buy is compatible with your other electronics. Unless it's a mistake on the part of the user. Cheers.
My Square checkout terminal and drawer, which I also ordered from Amazon, worked perfectly with the receipt printer. I like that it's thermal, which means there's no need to buy ink. Loading and unloading the paper were both simple tasks. All of the printer's components are available on Amazon, so I was able to have it delivered to my office.
If it so desires. This printer was purchased to be used in conjunction with a Square stand - It's utterly untrustworthy. After three days of use, the printer began turning on and off erratically in the middle of a print job. Even though all of the wires are securely connected, it will not turn on if it does not want to. When I contacted StarMicronics directly about the problem, they basically stated that the USB printer is powered by both the Square stand and the wall outlet (though the Square stand is used more frequently). In other words, if you have a power problem, it could be a problem with the printer's connection to the Square stand. or it could be a problem with the hardware itself, but the only way to know for sure is to go through a time-consuming diagnostic process.
I'm still making an effort to put it to good use. Star is not supported by my POS system. Now I'm having a common problem with Star tech support, and they're still working on it to fix it, which is that it doesn't print out All Receipts bar-coded receipts. I can't use Receipt Flip because it doesn't automatically cut off the receipt, doesn't print out my full store name in every other receipt, and the receipt sometimes comes out 2 feet long.
Fast delivery, excellent packaging; I wish there was cardboard inside instead of Styrofoam, but it is sturdy enough to be reused for this year's garden show. We simply inserted the CD into the drive, ran the auto installation, and then plugged it into the USB port, which was recognized by Windows. We were in business as soon as we inserted the thermo paper and connected the line to the cash drawer. If there was an issue, it was usually caused by the power on the long extension cord tripping. We had to unplug the usb cord twice for the POS software to recognize it after the garden show's wifi reset. But that was a simple issue that wasn't caused by the printer; it's very sturdy and has few moving parts, so it's easier to maintain and repair. We are very pleased with it because it produces fantastic receipts. This year's South Coast Plaza had wifi, which was a godsend: ) has made our lives a lot easier.
I've only had it up and running for a few weeks, but it prints and cuts receipts well, and I haven't had any issues with it yet. The driver's disc makes setup and installation a breeze, and it includes any/all cables required. It even comes with a wall mount, but after looking at it, I'm not sure how or why anyone would want to: )br>br>Recently updated: This printer is still going strong after several months, and I have yet to encounter any issues with it. I've noticed that a few people have complained about receiving the incorrect printer. They ordered the wrong printer, so they got the wrong printer. The model number is TSP143U, USB, as stated in the title. The TSP143U is the USB model, as indicated by the U. One of the TSP143L series models is required if you require an ethernet model.
They work perfectly together when used with the Wasp 5E 415 Cash Drawer. The two are connected by a simple phone jack (which came with the cash drawer). I had an issue with the printer not printing after a period of inactivity (I had to turn it off and on again to get it to print), but the STAR tech support was fantastic. It was discovered that the problem was caused by a cable malfunction. Since then, I've switched cables and everything has worked perfectly. We were able to print receipts in 15 minutes thanks to the included developer kit. AWESOME!.
We ordered some wasp receipt printers, which have been programmed to work with their POS software. We were forced to hand them back. Back in 1992, we had Star receipt printers with our first computers, and I recall having no problems with them, which aided me in making a decision among so many options. Our tech found these new models to be very simple to install, and he went out of his way to tell me how simple they were. (We're still using the custom software we developed in 1992. ).
