My nursery business is just getting started, so I purchased this printer to use with the Apple Square Register iPad application to print out sales receipts. I had no problems with this device as it was a plug and play device. When I connected my iPad to the printer under the Bluetooth settings menu, it recognized the printer without any problem. PIN 1234, by the way, is the code. The information I was looking for was quite difficult for me to find. I believe the printer meets the speed listed in the specifications, which can be found on the Safety Information card. The printer is not particularly fast as some have noted, but it certifies the printing Be aware that this is not a very high volume machine. The receipt prints out at a nice little pace and it's not so slow that you might find it frustrating. Think of it more as a high speed, high quality printer than a modern, high speed desktop. It was interesting to see that the package I received did not contain an operator manual. Although the information was easily available on the manufacturer's website, it was in PDF format. Square Register was installed on the iPad, it also recognized the printer and I was able to print receipts immediately. As you can see on the photo, the printer is a bit larger than I had expected. There is a good sense of solidity and ruggedness in the design, so it should stand the test of time. A nominal sized roll of paper is included with the printer, however there is no information on where the bigger rolls can be found. There seems to be some truth to it. The fact remains however, that this stuff is pretty standard. that I had was not being able to find a quantity less than 50 rolls on Amazon. It is unlikely that I will use that much paper in ten It took me a while to find a 10 roll pack at Staples, but I did manage to buy it. A REPORT ON THE PAPER IS UPDATED In order to use this printer, you need a very small paper roll, and the one found at Staples won't The company listed compatibility for this printer on their website. Three and a half inches by 47 feet is the size of the paper. However, it is only sold by the 100 roll case. I like this printer very much, however, I gave it only 4 stars since it took me quite some time to find instructions on how to use it and find The only negative element is my lack of industry knowledge, which can explain a very small part of that. In saying that I think a user guide or at least a link to the online information would be nice to include with the package. If I had a case for the printer, I would have gone with that, but I grabbed what I had on hand.

This is not the thermal print paper that was advertised as the one that comes with the printer when you order that. I peeled off enough of the roll to make it small enough to work with the printer, when the first roll was inserted the new was too big for the printer diameter wise the lid wouldn't close, so I cut the roll smaller to get it to fit. I received rolls of probably 230 feet in length and a roll of probably 80 or 100 feet in length. My goal is to locate thermal paper with a width of 31/8 inch, a length of 80 or 100 feet. As it was listed as iPad compatible, we purchased it, but we use a web based POS system, so iPad compatibility was not enough for it to work with our system, we also needed AirPrint capability. Hopefully I'll be able to post a battery life update later - for now, everything is fine - I have printed about 50 receipts over the course of the past two weeks, but I have not yet charged for them.

I really liked this printer, but I had trouble syncing it. There was a discrepancy between what was written on the screen and what was being shown. I would have given it a five-star rating if the sync was easy. I was also told that people who bought this item also bought the following when I purchased the printer on Amazon. This is a 3-pack of NCR 997375 Thermal Paper Rolls The white tape is 1/8" x 230 ft, and costs $15 per roll. It would not close if you bought the 230' rolls of paper. The paper is thick and the 230' rolls are way too large and too thick for the printer. The rolls need to be 90' or 119'. I use the same iPad every day after the initial sync with the printer, and it works perfectly. If you lose the charging cable, you will have a problem.
