I do not normally write reviews, but this product was so disappointing that I felt I had no choice. The Brother P-1000 was purchased to replace my old unit The touch label maker provided me with years of great service before it was destroyed when the batteries went bad. As part of the advertising for this product, it claimed to be Bluetooth compatible & As soon as I discovered that I could print labels from my computer, I was ecstatic. The first time I received the product, I tried to connect it via bluetooth & tethering up to five times Since I could not get it working, I connected it to a wire so I could test it. Each time I printed a label, there was a 1" piece of tape that came out. As you can see, I tried adjusting the margins and spacing Several settings were available to correct the issue, but none of them were effective. After I called Brother, I had them troubleshoot the issue & we all got it resolved A mobile phone is the only device that can print labels wirelessly. Are there any people who print labels with their phones? The question was, "What was Brother thinking?"? As a result, I found out that all labels that use TZE tape are printed with a 1" piece of tape before printing. In order to work around this problem, they must print continuous labels on the printer. They have to be cut by hand. Is it so difficult to manually cut out It is impossible to print a single label if you only need one. Furthermore, I asked whether the old tapes that didn't have this issue could be used in the new machines if they were not affected by it. Secondly, I asked if there has been an increase in the amount of tape put in each cartridge due to this design flaw & It didn't matter who designed and built it We engineered this product and developed it There was no consideration for the end user in the accompanying tapes. I don't think anyone would be ok with wasting an expensive tape in an unnecessary way. I really like it. More customization options for the app would be great, since I like to make my own labels.

I dislike the fact that it cuts off an inch of the label before printing. Print them all, then select the labels you want, then it only cuts an inch off the first time. However, if you print them each individually it will cut an inch of label tape off every time and I think this is a scam.

The printer still displays an error message that it has too little battery power to print, even when it's plugged in. As much as I love(d) it I'm sorry to say that it is too fragile.
I accidentally knocked it over. A piece fell on its flat back side and is no longer working. It has been handled with care. I have a case with a padded interior and a nice case, but accidents are bound to The location of where to send it for repair is not listed anywhere. Damage to the exterior of the vehicle is not apparent. I would advise those who are considering purchasing one to beware. Make sure you handle carefully.
