Questions & Answers

Have you ever heard of a situation like this The Sharp EL-N is worn out and I would like to replace it As it stands, the single red/black ink roller appears to have been replaced with two separate ones. It's a pain in the but trying to figure out how to get the two mini's where the actual roller used to be...?

My calculator is great, and I enjoy using Having a large set of keys and a substantial case, it's quite a substantial item. It doesn't seem lightweight at all, but I really like it.

How soft and rubbery are the keys, and how hard and plasticky are they?

There is a hard plastic coating on the keys

When you press down on the buttons, do they seem to wobble - some people call them floating -?

The sway is more of a soft touch rather than a wobble. Sharp has been my device of choice for years, and I'm glad they're still available when I need another one, though I don't think the keys on my new one are any different from those on previous ones. When you enter a number, you're using a very light touch, but not so light that you'll enter the wrong number. My favorite thing about this calculator is that it's easy to use.

Is there a way to subtract on this calculator, do you have to add before you can ?

enter the figures in the calculator and then hit the subtract button or the plus button to add them up. It has not been a problem for me. Over the years it's become such a natural part of my business that vendors hardly notice it any more.

This was a very disappointing experience
3/5

As a result of using this machine at my last job, I bought this printing calculator (adding machine). It arrived in less than a week after I ordered it. The letter was sent to me on Wednesday, As of Thursday, 9/3/2020, I plugged it in at work after bringing it out of the box. Starting with a list of numbers, I added a few more. As I looked at the sum, I noticed that it was way out. It turns out the 5" key no longer works. Then, I plugged it back in and boxed it again. I called the number on the invoice on Friday, 9 /4/2020, and spoke to a woman who instructed me to send my Amazon order confirmation and the number off the bottom of the machine to her. I did this as instructed. 123456789, so she could see the 5 was not working, she sent back a message that she wanted a picture of the display. Do you mean what you say? When I have used the calculator more than once, she asked how long I have had it. There is no need to worry about the packaging since everything is prepared. If there is a refund, please let me know. My next step will be to report the company to PayPal if I don't hear back.

A sharp ELA This calculator has an 1801V function
5/5

As someone who has owned this model for years and needed another one for a job, I was shocked that I could still get one for such a cheap price through Amazon even if you can find it Aside from that, I hate calculators that have to be used with ink ribbons. As the ink rollers last longer and produce better quality prints than the ink ribbons used in this calculator, they are more economical than ink ribbons. Besides that, it is a lot less dirty. The machine is great and I recommend it highly

Now that I've purchased two Sharp EL-201s, I have three of them in total There is a 2192RII after that
3/5

Now that I've purchased two Sharp EL-201s, I have three of them in total It has been years since I bought my first 2192RII after having numerous older models with no issues. This is the first EL-I purchase I've made In the aftermath of the Amazon return period, when the refund/return period had expired, the machine failed. As part of normal operation, when I press the total button (*), the motor that advances the paper won't shut off or stop. Because the motor runs even with the power switch in the off position, I have come to the conclusion that the only way to stop it is by unplugging it. I returned the second unit I ordered to Amazon after only a few days because it was doing the same thing.

A throwback to the eighties
5/5

It is impossible to think of an adding machine that has changed in 40 years because it is perfect. Employees over the age of 50 will enjoy the large buttons, which are easy to read. It is like going back in time to yesteryear as the sounds of the rat a tat tat are playing Whenever you hear it, you will feel confident, since it hums in your ear. If you have small slips of paper to back up your work, there is no need for fancy software or Excel. It is a must-have for one who works in the old school.

I have updated It has been over a decade since I used this type of calculator
3/5

Many of these people have stated that the new one does have the same problem. There is never a pause in the motor for the paper feed. Power has no effect on it even when it is turned off. A cord must be unplugged before it can be used. The piece of junk is very large. As far as I am concerned, this isn't a good product and I can't return it. A few months ago, I got it. As of right now, I find this calculator to be more useful than this. My paper feeder had to be bent in order to be able to accept paper. I had to take it apart in order to do so.

Not being able to turn off motor The trash is full now
3/5

Two years is all it took for the calculator to break. No matter how hard you try, the motor will not shut In the end, I threw it in the trash after I tried to get an RMA and they said the warranty was only 6 months. The purchase would not be worth it for me. You will find that quite a few people have the same problem with the motor not turning off with this calculator when you Google it.

It gets two thumbs up from me
5/5

It does not look as big as the picture implies, as the machine is quite large and wide. The only problem was trying to feed the paper into the feed area, and you have to be very careful to cut off the leading edge to make sure it will fit properly. This software is very user-friendly, with many tips and instructions on how to maximize its.
