Jonti-Craft Large Light Table

This is similar to what I was able to find for sale, but not as popular. A sturdy and heavy object is required for such a task. It would break after 30 seconds of my toddler playing with it if it wasn't constructed like a tank. The reason you don't see a lot of these for sale is because of this. If they are made cheaply, they are dangerous, but if they are made well, they are expensive. Children will naturally place their weight on the top of the glass when arranging their craft so that it can better handle the weight. You will not get as much use out of a small light box on a table. You can find a lot of activities that are educational and fun with this table by searching for "light box activity ideas for toddlers". It can either be used as a light table, an activity bench, a Lego/Duplo base, or a desk when not in use. My first impression of this table was that it is far from the typical cheap, plastic, mass-produced toys I'm used Below the lights, there is a metal key and a lock to keep them secure. Despite its cloudy appearance, the piece of wood is solid and made of professional quality Plexiglas. Fluorescent lights, which are easily replaceable and cost pennies to keep always on, produce almost no heat, and are inexpensive to keep on indefinitely. The light does not extend completely to the end of the perimeter so there is a soft, framed image. It is so bright that it completely illuminates the small space The amount of light is not excessive It gives off just the right amount of light to brighten the ultra-dark room Optical toys that are cool to look at. I would like to drill a hole in the side so the power cord doesn't have to run under the bottom leg, but I don't think it will be an issue. A toddler thinks that it took three weeks to get delivered, but it actually went by quickly. During assembly, nothing needed to be done. The box was the size of a refrigerator I dropped it out of it While this is a costly toy for kids, I believe it is worth it because it has great possibilities for educational and recreational benefits. I cannot imagine being happier than I am with my little one.

One of these has been on my wish list for years and this one It is a huge hit with my preschoolers. The extensive use of the app last year has assured me that it will stand up to the demands of an active preschool classroom.
