We have included a second side of adhesive tape as a bonus that’s of strong stickiness to foam. Most adhesive tapes don’t stick to foam due to the nature of foam, whereas we have included an additional tape as a bonus. If you choose not to remove them, these sound panels will not fall off the wall within a few weeks unless you do so on purpose.

A single panel should have a thickness of 1 inch from its base to its peak and dimensions of 12 by 12 inches. A package consists of a total of 12 packs of studio foam panels, covering a total of 12 square feet, while a tile covers one square foot. In comparison with those low density foam panels (10-15 kg/m3), the high density (25 kg/m3) foam panels produce a noticeable difference in reducing reverb, echoes, waves, and reverberation. Aside from the fact that these panels are flame retardant and non-toxic, they also pose no health risks to humans.

They expand to normal size without the need to soak them in water or heat them. They come in a vacuum sealed bag, but they are so flexible that they can be opened without any additional steps. It is usually just a matter of separating these panels one from another and letting them lie at a well ventilated place to set them apart for a few days. It's easy to mount these to the wall or ceiling when the fast expansion of the material to its original shape helps.

We work to make sure that the wedge/groove design is unique in that it increases the contact area with sound, which naturally results in a better absorption of noise. What is the ease of tearing up this acoustic panel? In my drum studio there are a lot of kids and sometimes they can't stop touching the drums?

The panel will tear relatively easily if pulled with the grain of the panel. The harder it is to tear if plucked. Whether you secure them thoroughly depends on how strong a child is and how he or she approaches challenges.

Having my kid play drums in our home studio, will these curtains keep the sound from traveling through the walls to my room if I apply them to my walls and ceilings?

Acoustic panels can be used as a soundproofing solution to stop noise from transferring from walls, but it does not significantly affect performance. Sound panels should be made out of soundproof material since they are used to control echoes when recording or speaking with a microphone. As far as noise reduction goes, they are intended to improve sound quality instead of reducing it. But if you install enough, you may see some improvement.

How does the foam fare when it comes to fireproofing? Testing was done according to what standard? Would you like to have a fire safety inspection performed at your ?

Is there a difference in weight between each panel?

The weights are unknown, but I would estimate that they are 0 grams each. The weight was 9 lbs. For a 12 pack, it weighs in at about 1 lb.

There is no adhesive tape included

A description indicates the item comes with wall mounting adhesive to attach the item to the wall and instructions (in bad english) on how to apply it. It then states that it cannot guarantee tape will be found. The panels were all that came with mine. The picture is on the wall, but where do I put it? There is no double sided tape for the 3M double sided tape I had around the house. The price is the same regardless of whether there is adhesive or not. So, give people the adhesive if you're charging the same.

It is not necessary to buy for easy installation

Unlike clear adhesive, the backing for this adhesive is a few inches longer. You have to touch the adhesive part to determine how long it will last. It is difficult to read the instructions and to save the unused adhesive. Look elsewhere or buy your own adhesive for a stress free installation.

I could not get the adhesives to stick

I found half of the panels on the floor when I woke up in the morning. There is no adhesive on the little stickers. As soon as I opened the package, I discovered about ten of them were ruined because they had been stuck together during Using adhesive stickers was difficult and they did not work what they were supposed to do.

There is no value in this purchase

It was a waste of money to purchase this product. Didn't stay on the door at all, so it had to be nailed on. It didn't stop the noise from coming in either.
