My mic cables don't have an AWG designation - "High Grade 21g Dual Copper Conductors," according to a reference on the page. Shield". I'm guessing the 21g is 21awg, which is a little bigger than 22awg - which is a better (lower resistance) conductor These mic cables will work with any microphone you have. I bought ten of them and have been using them in professional and home recording settings for over three years with no failures. I can't say the same for the other brands I've purchased. They've been stepped on several times (which is not recommended for any cable), have had beer and other drinks spilled on them, and have never let me down. They're all still functional, and the soft rubber sheathing is still simple to coil and handle.
I'm not familiar with headset cables in particular, but we've found these to be reliable and of good quality.
Yes, this is possible. Before connecting the mic, make sure phantom power is disabled in the Apogee Maestro software.
I believe they are referring to 21 gauge/awg wire. This cable appealed to me because of its soft, flexible exterior and overall flexibility.

A mic cable had shorted out, so I had to replace it. After reading a lot of good reviews, I decided to go with this one. It appears to be durable, flexible, and, most importantly, the color appeals to me. Jerry, the sound guy, feels the same way. When he hooks up the bands cables to the sound board, he no longer has to ask me which cable is mine, and I can always tell mine apart from everyone else's. MINE is the blue one!.
It's simple, kink-free, and rolls up easily. The variety of colors available appeals to me. These are the cables that I use for my PA speakers. My mains and subwoofers are connected with blue cables, while my monitors are connected with red cables. It's simple to follow the signal path from my amplifier/board to the speakers. Well-packaged, with prompt delivery. I'm going to purchase some more.
These cables are extremely flexible and coil up neatly for storage. It will take time to see how long they last, but they appear to be well-made, with good relief at the connection ends. br>br>Updatebr>I'm using these as powered speaker patch cables. It's possible that these aren't strong enough for this job. As I previously stated, the outer jacket is extremely adaptable. Perhaps you're a little too accommodating. The internal conductors are starting to kink. I haven't had any problems yet, but I'm carrying a backup just in case. For my application, I believe a thicker cable would be a better fit.
This cable appears to be quite good. Because my band performs frequently, durability and dependability are critical. So far, this cable has stood up to everything we've thrown at it.
For my son's PA system, I bought two of these cables: The one on the left is red, while the one on the right is blue. The craftsmanship is outstanding. I expect these to last a long time in his band's practice/studio space as well as when he's on the road. br>br>One thing that struck me as surprising was how flexible the cables are. They are not stiff in the way that some people are. In addition, the price was spot on. Sure, you can get cables for less money. What you pay for, however, is what you get. I've been paying close attention to the quality of the gear I bring into the mix as I've upgraded both his live and studio gear. These are exactly what I needed. br>br>These cables were so good that I bought GLS Audio's 6-pack of them. To mic my son's drum set, I bought a pack of these same cables. In the next month, I plan to purchase at least two more.
I keep all of my cords the same color so that I can tell them apart from the rest of the band's. I wish it came in a 50' cord for my bass drum mic.
If you take care of them, they won't let you down. I'd recommend gls to anyone looking for great cables at a good price. I use gls when I need more cables and have 8 piece bands.
They are fantastic.
