It is a set of balanced cables. In fact, they were purchased to replace unbalanced cables. They're well-made and ideal for sound reinforcement and recording.
There are several issues and concerns to consider when establishing any type of adaptive connection. Phantom power for the XLR device is required for any XLR connection, and you must have it available at some point to satisfy the XLR device. Phantom power is not usually transferred through all adapters. Phantom power does not always appear when you need it, in my experience. Another problem is the use of pins. out; You'd think there'd be some kind of standardization with this stuff, but unfortunately, that's not the case. In the past, I've simply tried it; I've never had any problems as a result of this method, but be aware that it could happen. Call Sweetwater and speak with one of their experts; if they believe the adapter will work, buy it from them. May the Force be with you at all times! ) 7/21/20
The issue with using a balanced TRS cable to connect to the mixer is that most single 1/4 inputs on the board are mono, rendering the L/R signal useless. If you want true L/R stereo sound on the board, you'll need to run two separate cables for each side.
The soldering quality is on par with that of other brands. These cables are a fantastic value for the money, and the only difference between them and ridiculously-priced cables is the price. Mogami cables have thicker shielding and are occasionally overpriced. "Braiding" was a product that was sold. "I would only use the most expensive cables if I had a true professional recording studio, and even then, only for instruments and microphones."

But here's the thing: On Amazon, you'll find a plethora of audio cable choices. com, ranging from dirt-cheap junk to outrageously overpriced but high-quality items. In my studio, I've experimented with a variety of cable options and have been mostly satisfied with some Amazon-based options. options that are sourced These cables, on the other hand, are on a completely different level. I honestly can't believe the quality of these cables for the price. br>br>My first order consisted of, I believe, ten cables. There are eight 15' TRS x XLR male connectors and two 25' TRS x XLR male connectors in total. I've decided to replace everything I'd previously wired (roughly 20 synthesizers) with these at this price and for this level of quality. They make similar-priced alternatives appear absurd. Purchase one, give it a shot, and tell me I'm mistaken. You're going to be taken aback. Allow me to explain: br>br> Both the plugs and the cable (at least the sheathing) are made of high-quality materials. I haven't checked the wire yet, but it appears to be excellent. notch. All metal, securely screwed (at the XLR end). All of my other cables' barrel ends are unscrewing, and I'm tired of it. I'm not unscrewing them, but they always seem to come loose when I try to plug something in. These aren't among them. This is fantastic. For the past five years, I've used TRS 1/4 inch cables to connect my Focusrite 2i2 to my KRK Rokit 5's. 6 years. After hearing buzzing from my speakers while playing World of Warcraft, I finally took the plunge. It's a weird thing, and it sounds like ground loop noise, and an audiophile advised me to purchase these balanced XLR connections.

In terms of the product itself, Cable Matters once again outperforms the competition; the cable's quality is lightyears ahead of the competition, and the packaging is flawless. cables with a name! I had never heard of "Cable Matters" before ordering this brand. " I buy cable and connectors in bulk most of the time and have them custom-made for me. Make one for myself. The price, on the other hand, was too good to pass up. I ordered two 15 ft. ladders in pairs. (from the mixer to the interface) and 6 ft. For my home studio, I needed cables (interface to monitors). When the cables arrived, they were all neatly packaged. br>br>What strikes me the most is the cable's unquestionable thickness. The casing on this cable is built for durability and isolation, unlike most on the market, which are often thin and flimsy. This was especially impressive to me because these cables will be used in my home recording studio, where sound isolation is extremely important. The connectors are sturdy and well-made. both ends have been built Connectivity and sound quality are ensured by gold-plated TRS connectors. I'm willing to bet that attempting to duplicate these on my own would save me almost nothing - They are exceptional in every way; the initial sound check and demo resulted in flawless sound on both recording and playback. There are no pops, crackles, or hums in this recording. I needed two XLR to TRS cables to connect my M AUDIO C600 Fast Track to my new KRK Rokit 5 speakers, and I couldn't believe the build quality for the price of this BALANCED XLR to TRS cable. I chose the 6 foot option JIC because I plan to buy monitor stands, but I also thought it would be a good size if they turned out to be junk. br>br>I was mistaken. br>br>I can't speak to their durability in a mobile or high-use environment, but I'm satisfied with speaker cables that just sit there and never lose their connection. These are 100% BALANCED, it should be noted. They have not stated this as of the time of this review. br>br>I have a home studio where I record scratch guitar tracks for a band I'm in, as well as other musical projects, and these cables MORE THAN suffice. The first one was three feet tall - a major blunder Get 6 feet or higher; you won't want the 3 feet unless your studio monitors (which these are good for in pairs, by the way) are PROBABLY not going to be 3 feet apart from the amp / dac / interface or whatever you're using. Apart from that, they're fantastic and of excellent quality. Definitely worth the money! 5 out of 5.
The weight, construction, and quality of this cable astounded me - It's a no-brainer at this price, studio quality - I use it with my Taylor T5z Expression System, which is connected to a balanced line / acoustic amp. Quiet, strong signal (6db), and excellent quality. In a variety of environments, I expect this cable to last a long time. Everything gets a thumbs up.
Probably not suitable for professional use. I'm married to a man who isn't interested in having children. The speakers are receiving a lot of 60 Hz hum from a balanced cable. This wire is - the fact that it is a balanced cable - The 60 Hz hum was removed, which resulted in a more pleasant sound. br>br>I don't think this cable will hold up to professional use (like a DJ or band), but it should last me a long time.
It provides feedback to you. When the connected mic is not in use, there is static. After that, if you touch the cord while using the mic, the cord becomes a microphone. Every movement is met with a reaction. This cord is not suitable for anything other than a rope, in my opinion.
