Questions & Answers

Is this something made in the United States?

Yes, everything is made in the United States of America.

Is it possible for this to break up when used with a bass? This will be used to transition from pedals to the top amp. bass- ?

It does not break up when connected to my amplifier directly. Because I do not use pedals, I am unable to provide you with that information.

Is this what you use to connect the amp to the guitar? (Sorry for the stupid question, but I'm buying for my son because mine was broken by accident.) ?

Yes, but "connecting the guitar to a pedal chain" or "connecting the guitar to the amp" is a more accurate description. Between the guitar and the amplifier, there are usually a series of effects pedals. The "last pedal in the chain" could also be connected to the amplifier using this cable. By the way, these are excellent cables; I have a six-foot and a ten-foot pair and am very happy with GSL Audio Cables.

Is this a balanced or unbalanced pair of cables?

Instrument cable that is unbalanced and shielded. The tip of a balanced cord has two rings. Speakers are represented by the letters s and r.

BUY THIS CABLE AT YOUR OWN RISK! To begin with, GLS did not respond to my emails
3/5

br>br>I was looking for three cables for my two pedalboards a little over a month ago when I came across these 5 Star cables. br>Keep in mind that I own a company that solves electrical problems, so I should have known better, but I assumed these 5 Star cables were bulletproof (never assume). I set up my new board with two of the cables last week, everything was fine, I was very happy playing my new $3,000 plus amp and pedalboard, and then it went from bliss to stone dead quiet. I wiggled the cables, nothing, I removed the cable going to the dead amp and tried it on another amp, and it was fine. I removed the Marshall amp from the amp shell and inspected, checked the tubes and capacitors. Everything worked for 5 minutes after I reassembled it and restarted it, but then it stopped working. When I went to remove the cable from the amp input this time, I got static and then intermittent signal from the guitar to the amp. I checked my other new GLS cables and they were all fine for the time being. I contacted GSL to explain the situation and have yet to receive a response, resulting in this very negative review and experience with these inferior cables and customer service. I'm not a complainer, and I know how to fix this cable, but the lack of a response is the driving force behind this negative review.

This is something James P Coyne should read
5/5

I believe your Marshall amp, not this cable, is the source of your problem, James. It's not a faulty cable if it worked fine in another amp. Because you incorrectly blamed GLS for the problem, you did not receive a response. Examine your amplifier's input jack. br>br>Having said that, this cable is excellent value for money. No, it doesn't compare to cables that cost three times as much. Despite the fact that it costs four times as much, I have never had any issues with it.

Well- priced reasonably, and appear to be well-made made
5/5

I purchased a 6-foot GLS cable because of its low price and good reviews. During my four weeks of ownership, I have not been disappointed, but only time will tell how long it will last. This GLS cable is about 1/16" thinner in diameter than my other cables, but I'm not sure if that's due to less shielding or a thinner braid. One minor aspect that could be improved is the plug housing's gripping surface. It now has a slick chrome finish with only a small knurled grip area. The plug housings on my other brand guitar cables (all of which are more expensive) have black rubberized shrink coverings that provide excellent grip when inserting and removing them. In any case, you can't go wrong for the price.

At a fantastic price, a short cable with excellent sound quality that does not kink! When you see a high rated product with 5 reviewers giving it five stars, you know it's good, and this product IS
5/5

This attractive cable demonstrates the high level of quality. It's simple to use, and there's no need to double-check the coil's direction when curling the cable for storage. The addition of velcro straps was a nice touch. There are no errant noises or crackling from the cablebr>on movement, and the sound quality is excellent; I'm glad I went with the 6 ft. I bought this cable to go with my Blackstar Fly 3 practice amp, which I also bought here. This cable will be purchased in GLS longer lengths. Tweed wrapping is also a favorite of mine.

Cables of excellent quality
5/5

Cables are fantastic! I bought four of these in the hopes of resolving some noise issues with my setup. It quieted things down a lot more than I expected after switching line in/out to amp and also to the effects loop. It's also likely that using 6' cables rather than 10' helped. When troubleshooting noise/hissing, etc. , keep the following tips in mind. I tried everything I could think of to isolate everything, but it didn't work. The only option was to try cables, which proved to be successful. They also have a professional appearance to them. I also placed an order for Spectraflex patch cables: which matched the others and proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that bad cables can be the weakest link in your rig's chain.

It is, without a doubt, an improved audio cable
5/5

I'll admit that I usually go for the cheapest patch cords available. When one of my most recent ones shorted out, I went to Amazon for help. This cable received positive feedback, and the woven insulation appealed to me. I didn't believe the product information when it said it sounded better than other audio cables. br>br>I was mistaken. The sound was much warmer and live when I used this cable with my rig (nylon string guitar with Barbera pickup, Fishman Aura, and Loudbox Mini amp), and I will never use cheap patch cords again. (And it's not much more expensive than a standard cable from Guitar Center. ) )br>br>All I want is to be able to order a two-day delivery. Now is the time to connect the amp to the box with a foot cable.

For the money, this is the best cable

Consider adding a 6-footer to your collection. This is a review of the GLS braided cable, which measures 6 feet in length. When playing near the amp, the 6 footer is extremely useful. GLS originally sold me two of these cables, both 15 feet long, to go with my new Les Paul desert burst. I went back to Amazon to order a few more cables for various amps, and I ended up with a 6 footer, which I absolutely love. It's become a go-to source of information for me. When I'm sitting directly in front of any of my amps and practicing in the house at low volumes, I switch to cable. To begin with, the quality of these cables is excellent and comparable to any of the major brands. There are a variety of braided cable types available. The cable termination into terminal heads is protected by reinforced rubber sleeves, which adds to the overall durability. All of the internal solders at the terminal heads were neat and well-placed. The braiding is a nice tight weave that keeps the cable from coiling up and causing a tangle. Let's talk about price: for the price of one similar big-ticket item, you can get a few of these. Cable is referred to as. The look is so classic and goes 100% wrong with my LP but I can see this cable pairing up beautifully with any wood grained guitar from Tele's to LP's to% A guitar cable isn't usually given much thought, but the look of this weave, combined with a nice wood-grain finish, makes it stand out. You'll be giggling from ear to ear when you hear the burst instrument. On my Fender Princeton, the sound transmission is crystal clear and buzz-free.
