Questions & Answers
Considering a small mixing console as a means of increasing output from rca "preouts" of a consumer receiver to a pro amplifier, would that be the better choice?
The change is not just the line level from - to - By converting the unbalanced signal into a balanced one, the signal is converted from 10db to +4db. The mixer would have the same effect if it had RCA inputs, as well as XLR outputs. I used my mixer to hook up the RCA outputs of a media player to a balanced line level input.
Could you please help me with a hook up of crown cdi 2000 to rolls mb15b with the source being Pandora using RCA connector, thank you?
you have an unbalanced source such as line level or RCA, then the RCA output comes from the source. The Rolls is equipped with "10dB IN" inputs. On the back of amps, they come in that order). In a XLR plug, you'll find these pins In addition to ground, shield and chassis ground, #2 signifies the + and #3 signifies the - signals Return from /common/. The above statement appears to be accurate for what you might be trying to do without a pre-built system This product is more of a set and forget product. Of course, start with the level controls low, especially if your Pandora source produces high output volumes.
As mentioned in the manual, this can also be used as a balanced, in-line, level control if its four RCA jacks are patched Can anyone tell me if this has been done?
I have one, and it works as described. Putting the knob at 6 o'clock will neutralize the signal. Then turn the knob to boost or cut I use it to drive a preamp line out to a balanced xlr amp and a normally driven amp with RCA inputs and keep the gain at neutral, so I cannot judge how clean it would be if you really drive RCAs.
By adding a jumper (to use the controls for a balanced line, as mentioned in the description), do the controls become passive or will they remain active? Thanks! ?
There is an active control scheme.

This adapter allows Crown XLS to be connected to a Currently, this is used in the computer audio 2 program
Setup for one computer. (2) wall-mount NHT Superzeros, (1) Denon AVR 1907, (2) Crown XLS2000, (1) Infinity 1262W in a 4 - channel system, (3) Rolls Promatch MB15, and (4) Crown XLS 2000. This is a 6cu ft vented box we built tuned to approximately 21 Hz using an F3. In our testing, the Rolls Promatch didn't add any distortion, hiss, or feedback, but it did solve our output issue, which had been a problem. Do you recommend the Rolls Promatch for sound quality? This does not affect the sound in any way, at least to my ears. You get no hiss, no distortion, and no one of the best designed pieces of gear out there. Box made from 6 cu ft of vented space. In order to get an acceptable output from the subwoofer, I had to turn the Crown gain up all the way before the Rolls Promatch. As a result of reading recommendations for these, I bought one. It took me less than a minute to order I am pleased to tell you that this Rolls Promatch delivers a lot of power to our subwoofer! A RCA cable was connected to the input on the Rolls Promatch from the subwoofer output on the Denon AVR 1907. The Rolls was connected to the Crown XLS input using an XLR cable. It's a BOOM! On some occasions, we have to turn the Rolls Promatch down so the subwoofers don't overwhelm the pair of NHT Superzero speakers. The Best AV Amplifier from Audio Pro should be your first choice if you are mixing consumer and pro audio receivers. Despite having a switch to choose between pro audio or consumer input voltage, the newer pro amps that claim to have one don't function as well as I've read in the reviews. What is the difference between a regular home audio/video receiver and a professional amp? The amp is barely putting out any watts because the input signal to the amp is so weak. You should get one of them if you intend to use the power you paid for. In the case that you have a 2000 watt amplifier connected to a $60 subwoofer that only handles 300ish watts, please do not turn it up too loud when playing extended bass notes, as the voice coils will catch on fire. When I was in my 20s, I was an automotive bass competitor. Although, they were roughly 4 db with 1400 watts RMS and (2) 15-inch Crossfires in a vented 10cft box (if played for more than a few seconds, they blew).

The solution you provide is excellent! This is a tool I use XLR plugs are used on a pair of powered DJ speakers and a powered subwoofer
I have been connecting my DJ controller to monitors via XLR cables for several months because my DJ controller has only RCA outputs. The frequency of the volume jumped immediately after I connected the Rolls Promatch! Now that I have more room, I can do more. Then I decided to test it out on a second application after a few hours of playing. As soon as the Promatch signal was added to the flow, the volume increased even if the level knob was set at 12 o'clock. This is the default "0" position as far as I can tell. The distortion or clipping will be obvious if you turn it past 3 o'clock! As of yet, Channel 2 has been the only channel I've used There is no longer a need for a "Y" connection since it has both RCA and XLR outputs Among the things I would have liked to have seen were a dedicated "on/off" switch and perhaps some inputs moved from the front to the sides, so the level knobs would not be hindered by cables.

The product is good, but the delivery is terrible
I just got my MB15B in the mail. The device, the power cable, and a small information pamphlet were all sitting in the box with the other items I'd packed with the Amazon box. I found one of the small rubber feet missing, and they were not packaged in any way. Although the packaging is awful (or there is none) I really like this product. I have it hooked up to my Numark Mixtrack Platinum controller via RCA, and I use the XLR output to send signal to my Cerwin Vega CVE 18 and CVE 12 This is a great app. The cable worked well but there was quite a bit of signal interference from the RCA to XLR. When I switched to this, I no longer had that problem. It would have been better if I had a power switch and ground lift, but for that price it is good.

I have a Marantz SR-660 and this is an excellent product An AV receiver model 7010 is available
I have a Marantz SR-660 and this is an excellent product With a Crown XLS 1502 Drive core amplifier, the AV receiver 7010 becomes a power amplifier. It didn't seem to be possible to get the full potential playing through my speakers, so I got this to see if it would help. As if my speakers had been brought to life by this thing. My speaker volume is still too loud even with the power amp set to half way. When I was first starting out, i would run my amp at full speed and not do anything outstanding. Using this with your Home Theater equipment will certainly be worth the money if you wish to match Pro Gear with it. This is definitely something you should try.

I would rate this product as 'Near Perfect' because of its excellent build quality, easy to follow diagram, and a dead simple way to get unbalanced audio into a balanced mixer like a Scarlett 2i2
You won't be able to eliminate ground loop hum with this We'll make sure that gets passed through! However, if you're using an unbalanced audio source, you probably already know that's the case. We recommend that you take your usual precautions, etc. One thing that I dislike is the location of the power jack - it lies at the bottom of the front panel. It would be better if it was on the back or side (or This is another nice thing to have It would be unbalanced 3 if there was no balance. I need both the 5mm and RCA inputs to not have straight coupling because currently, if both are plugged in at the same time, there is volume loss, but it does not cause me any real problem.

It works great, and it is built to last
The device I used to make the conversion from unbalanced to balanced RCA audio signals (it also converts the other way around). It works well, has sound quality that is pure, an impressive build quality, and is able to adjust volume. I needed exactly what you sent.

I love this little device
I am using this to drive my main home audio speakers via a Yamaha professional amp (p5000) in my home theater, which requires balanced inputs and a voltage boost. Despite its small size, this little device does just However, even though it didn't get rid of what turned out to be a ground loop hum, it helped me adjust the volume to A solidly constructed product. Buy knowing you're going to be happy with it.
