Selected User Reviews For Neumann KMS 105 MT Condenser Microphone, Super-Cardiod,Matte Black
I use it with a dbx 286s microphone preamp and a Mackie Profx 10 mixing board. So far, I've gotten production-quality vocals from this mike. Everyone asks me where and how I recorded my vocals because they are so clear when I use it in my home setup and with a friend's home setup. When combined with the appropriate software or hardware, this microphone sounds fantastic! Although it is not inexpensive, you do get what you pay for. By the way, this is one of their lower-end microphones. This mike is used by my partner in his home setup, so when I heard how well it worked, I bought one. It was well worth the money!.
After testing and comparing the KMS 105 with six other microphones, I decided to purchase it. For a true A/B test, a friend and I recorded my voice on seven tracks over the same background track, with no EQ and only minor gain adjustments to ensure a fair comparison. br>br>KMS 105 appealed to us both because of its clarity. In the middle of the year, there is no need for an artificial boost. high end. br>At the low end, there's a lot of energy and clarity, and it's the best in this price range. It sounded "exactly" like my voice without EQ (I'm a baritone with a wide dynamic range and a D2 vocal range). G4). br>br>If you want to save money, the Telefunken M81, despite being a dynamic mic, is the next best option (a big surprise for us). Senh e 965 was the next to arrive. br>br>It is not a forgiving mic, and it may not be suitable for all users. It does not place a strong emphasis on the middle of the spectrum. Most microphones have a high dynamic range, which is "in" these days. It's extremely delicate, and none of your errors will be hidden. Also, you won't be able to sing very close to it; 6" might be the best distance. br>br>To summarize, it's a fantastic neutral and clear mic that appears to be the best in its price range for my voice.
This microphone has made a significant difference in the quality of my vocals. It improves the sound of my voice without altering its original tone. Microphone that is extremely sensitive. , on the other hand, will amplify both your positive and negative qualities. Experienced singers and ballad-style songs benefit the most. If you're a metal or rock screamer, this mic isn't for you. , but if you want all of your vocal variations to be heard, this mic will warm your voice without becoming mushy and allow you to use more vibrato. For the serious singer, it's a bit pricey, but it's well worth it.
As a singer, I have the following experience: I've been singing since I was ten years old, beginning with plays in elementary school. I've spent most of my adult life singing karaoke for fun, and I've been a member of three bands, with a fourth on the way. Singing is not a skill I possess. I learned how to play the piano and the guitar when I was younger. My pitch isn't perfect, and my hearing isn't golden. br>br>Review: br>br> br>Of all the microphones I own, this is by far my favorite. The price difference between the Beta58A and the Beta58B is significant. After reading reviews, I decided to purchase it, and I'm very pleased with it. Singing now comes more easily and naturally to me. Gain prior to feedback appears to be much higher. The first day of rehearsal drew a lot of positive feedback, despite the fact that the mics had been switched. It actually inspires me to sing more. I was never happy with the tone of other mics, and I always blamed it on my technique and room resonant frequencies. This has actually worked in all five venues where I've tried it. What you pay for is exactly what you get. It's an excellent microphone for recording and/or live performances. Take a look at the professional opinions on the subject. They all give it high marks, which I believe are accurate. Use a high-end preamp to reap all of the benefits. Grace Designs created my piece.
This microphone is fantastic. I'm a professional singer who used to use an EV, but I'm now a Neumann convert.
Excellent product with prompt delivery.
