In the photo, you can see two (2) different speaker cable sets. As a result, if you have two speakers, this will provide power to both of them. Are you referring to split in half when you say split. If you have 4 sets of cables but shorter, then you have 6 sets of cables. Having 4 separate cables would be the case if you meant separating down the middle. Nothing good can come from it.

There was so much I wanted to love about Solidly constructed and high quality, these headphones feel great in your hands. say, I was always of the opinion that a wire is a wire no matter how expensive it may be, and people who spend thousands on anything other than braided copper are joking. Now that I'm a believer, I'm a convert. My high end used these to jump the 26" from the bottom terminal to the top terminal, however I used Von Schweikert VR-G6 cables to do so. I recently purchased 4 of them. As a replacement for the frayed solid copper 12awg wires I had been using, I installed the new wires. I noticed a significant decrease in treble as soon as I installed them. Until I figured out why the speakers seemed to sound worse, it took me a few days to figure out why. Several of my friends noticed that I purchased expensive speakers, and even my wife took offense at my purchase. I have finally been able to restore my sound by re-attaching my old frayed copper wires. It was astonishing how much difference there was. I have no idea whether mine were defective or whether these are bad audio speakers.
