Probably 14 or 16 years old.
Double-stranded 14-gauge cable. The cable is excellent. It's on my audiophile system, which includes a Parasound HCA 800 amplifier and a Snell J3 bi-amp. Speakers that are connected by wire I haven't had any problems, and I'll reiterate that the cables are excellent.
Yes. It is sold as a set.
I'm not sure, but it appears that two 14/16 gauge wires were twisted together to form a single RCA lead, with the end result being around 10 gauge per RCA lead.

0 and/or HDMI, with the latter being the most common. not only on a channel, but also on a movie screen or in surround sound Existing speaker wire is made up of four wires, each of which is 16 gauge. ) each. br>br>Everything appeared to be in working order, but I always had the impression that something was missing; perhaps it was just the way the speakers sounded, or perhaps the system's weakest link. Instead of upgrading the speakers, I decided to experiment with new wires. br>br>I can see that each cable has eight wires per speaker right out of the box. There appear to be two wires in each of the four speaker plugs, totaling eight wires. br>br>Result: When volume/SPL meter/decibels are set at the same level on the receiver as before, all sources (Satellite TV, digital music, movie home theater/surround) are now much louder. br>br>I was able to do an A vs B with a SPL meter, and the difference is definitely higher SPL at the same volume level on the receiver, so I now set the receiver volume lower settings for the same listening levels, and by a significant amount. br>br>In addition, the dynamic range is noticeably WIDER, with more detail and clarity in the treble/mids/bass than previously. br>br>Neither do I believe it is the "Fletcher Munson Curve. " At the same decibel level, the larger dynamic range is visible. br>br>I have no idea what the physics behind it all are, but all I can say is WOW! It's all right with me! br>br>I now believe that speaker wire quality can and does make a difference, but your mileage may vary depending on the equipment used upstream.
These cables have a "wow" factor because the quality and value are unmatched. I was previously using 12g zip wire and considered myself to be quite competent- Until I saw, bought, and installed these cables, that is. I'm completely taken aback! Please keep in mind that If you buy these cables, remember to remove the bridge that connects the posts before installing them (it's usually a flat, gold-colored piece of metal). bridge with gold plating). This ensures that the signal is sent to the speakers in a proper and clean manner. These cables, in my opinion, have reached the point of diminishing returns, where spending more money on them will not outperform their performance. Or maybe I'm just lucky that my ears can't tell the difference, because I've listened to cables that cost $3,000 and found no discernible improvement or superiority.
For the past 30 years, I've worked in the audio industry. These speaker cables are well-made. There are two types of speaker cables that I've encountered in my experience: very inexpensive (from a home store roll) and (12-pack) Wires with a gauge of 16 and high-quality connectors, such as this. I've never seen or heard a need for a "Good" pair of speaker wires over the overpriced $500 speaker wires. Especially the sets that cost tens of thousands of dollars. This was always how it was done when I set up sound systems in nightclubs and other event venues ($500,000) speaker and amp systems. Don't be fooled into spending hundreds or thousands of dollars on cables - it's not worth it. It's a type of snake oil.
Front speakers (Klipsch RP-1) are extremely sensitive. 96dB at 600M. They came to life when I started bi-cycling. These cables were used to connect them. I switched from a standard two-post setup with gold-plated jumper plates to a banana plug bi-wire setup. wiring. The sound quality was noticeably improved in my opinion. The cables have a great sound right out of the box. I'm excited to hear how they sound after they've been burned in properly. I can now hear the crisp snap of a drum, the distinct plucking of guitar strings, and the breath of previously muffled vocals. I'm sure there are better cables out there, but these are a great deal for the money. When I took them out of the anti-static bag, I was pleased with the results. The cable has a nice beefy heft to it and appears to be of good quality. They're also attractive, thanks to the red and black nylon braiding. Because there aren't any technical specifications, I'm guessing they were made in China. However, considering the low price compared to other cables in this category that can cost up to three times as much, I believe it is worth the risk. It's possible that the risk isn't worth it for you. I'm hoping they'll last several years. Only time will tell if this is true. I'm pleased with my purchase in any case.
I still have to say that these wires are well worth the money! I would strongly suggest it. br>br>The photos don't do these things justice; they look incredible! I'm going to start my review with a few images. WOW! This is a fantastic product! When I try them out this weekend, I'll update my review. On the basis of build quality alone, I'm giving it 5 stars! The story will continue.
There has been no reply. I suppose the product's lack of information says a lot. I have a high-end preamp and amplifier, as well as some new speakers. The cables are fine, but I'm switching from a single 12 gauge speaker wire to a bi-wire system. As a result, the comparison isn't fair. It's possible that these cables are 26 or 35 gauge. How would I know if I didn't cut into them? As far as I can tell, you get what you pay for. Let me know if I'm mistaken.
