I tried using it for the first time and the release button for the #7 cable slot broke and I couldn't loosen the cable. For the cable to be released, I had to disconnect the cable from the receiver and break the lock tab on the inside. As a result, I got it back together and now I am using it without the #7 cable lock. I'll have to make do with it Let's hope everything goes smoothly from here on out!.
It does what it's supposed to do and saves me from having to figure out how to move my I did not notice any loss of sound quality and felt that the connection was stable. I know, it's par for the course, but each xlr has a corresponding number embossed on the on the connector so if you don't know where a cable goes, it will be a bit of a pain.
As for the build and price, I found this to be a great deal at the time I bought it.
In my setting, a church, it is a good value for the price. You wouldn't want it on a tour, but it does its job well. There's only a very light load on it and the cables are only fairly thin, but for the price it's very good.
Product is great. Delivery is quick.
My main reason for using this type of cable is to keep drum mics clean and tidy.
This is a very good product for the price.
Using this product for recording my drums in the studio, I am able to mic up all of the drums properly.
