It was impossible for me to justify spending $600 on a snake. This COVID environment has allowed us to do a lot of outdoor video recording. However, I don't expect to use it much in the coming years. So I was ecstatic when I came across this reasonably priced snake. We've probably used it on five shoots so far, and it's performed admirably; however, the build doesn't appear to be particularly robust, so we treat it with caution and hope to get enough life out of it to get us through the pandemic. We're thrilled to have so many options for such a low price. After more than a year, it's time for an update. I'm keeping the high rating because I still think it's a good deal and there's good customer service, but I thought I'd mention that the clip releases on the female XLRs are delicate, and if you press too hard on them in the heat of battle, it may be difficult or impossible to free your audio cable. It's important to keep this in mind.

For a snake, this was an excellent deal. However. When using the first four inputs at the same time, some of the monitor returns had terrible interference; my guess is that the wires are very close together in the liner, and the signals wrap around each other while traveling in opposite directions, causing a terrible buzz on inputs 1 and 2. 4 While operating, A and B are returned. We can avoid using channel 1 as a solution to this. 4 and only use the 12 input channels on the bottom. All I have to say is that it's a good thing we didn't need 16 inputs in the first place. br>br>However, on the plus side, the channels that do work are crystal clear and free of interference. From the stage to the booth, we have this permanently installed in our church. Because the cables are so small, they had to be handled with care while being installed in the crawl space beneath our sanctuary floor. EVERYTHING needs to be dust-proofed. I hope this information is useful.

So far, everything has gone well. Everything is in good working order and has a pleasant sound. It has a low-quality feel to it, but the sound quality is fantastic. We unplug and re-plug at least once a week, so I'm hoping the plugs don't wear out or come apart too quickly; I'm sure if someone used it as a permanent stationary hookup, it would last a long time.

I purchased this for a live event series with which I was involved. The sends have a lot of hum and static, and the returns have a lot of grounding issues. I was unable to get a clean sound from this product, and I would not recommend it!.

For church it's ideal, with two front speakers and three monitors in the back, I don't think I'll need anything else, and plenty of connections for microphones, guitars, basses, and pianos.
