I unwrapped it straight out of the package and it worked right out of the box. MIDI and synthesizer work has never been easier for me after 35 years of experience. I connected the unit via USB to a MacMini 2012, Logic, and a mini Arturia controller, and it worked like a charm. In addition to good build quality, the packaging was also good.
