It may have been cheaper to buy a lesser priced MIDI cable, but I chose Roland because it added some flair to what would have otherwise been an otherwise plain black and boring In terms of the rubberized coating, the ends of the cable and the plugs are comfortable to touch and there is that certain feeling that these are not going to It's really nice to see the braiding in such detail and the gold Roland logo surrounding the plug ends make it look as if this cable is worth more than I paid for it. Overall, I'm very pleased with the appearance and performance of this cable.
