Questions & Answers

To what extent is the Y far from the X?

Unlike many other cables, there is no set distance, as it is designed so you can peel the y apart all the way back down to 1/8 jack if you like. By default, the cables are connected by the xlr plugs near the end, but you can adjust the length to fit your needs. For the price, I am impressed with the quality of this cable. I strongly recommend it.

What is the difference between the length specified in the description (6' or 10') and the total length once the wires are pulled apart? I need an XLR splitter with a maximum size of 10'. ?

If you separate the XLR connectors (pull apart the Zip cord) all the way back to the 1/8" connector, it might work. It would be double the distance (12' or 20' between the XLR connectors). There are some exceptions to this, but not many Due to the L-shaped mark on one side The left stereo signal is carried by one channel and the right is carried by the other Connect the right stereo signal (if it is connected to The connector connects an 8" audio cable to a stereo audio interface.

How do these speakers work with Rokit 5s?

There's no doubt in my mind they The XLR jacks you connect them to allow you to connect a 1/8" stereo output, such as a cell phone or iPod, to a pair of balanced RCA The Rokit 5 speakers have balanced XLR inputs, so I expect that they should work. I'm using several of them to connect directly to my I connected my JBL 306P powered monitors (powered monitors with 1 surround sound output) to 1 computer's stereo outputs.

The channels are impedance matched with transformers, aren't they?

A REPLY FROM THE A FEW MATTERS RELATED TO CABLE In addition to not having impedance matching transformers for each channel, this 1/8 inch TRS to 2 XLR cable does not have an armature. Get an audio interface like the Schitt Modi if you're using it on a computer
4/5

My new studio monitors were connected to my desktop computer using this cable. I used the cable for a while, then bought an audio interface that had xlr connections for the speakers instead. While it still runs, instead of using my pc's built in sound card I noticed a difference in sound quality. Not the cable's.

The left side of the screen represents red
4/5

These are decent headphones, but they only have one complaint when they're connected to a standard headphone jack to tap audio to a mixer, the red plug is for the left channel and not for There is a de facto standard in audio applications for red = right. It's no big deal though, because they are always reversed (I'm using 3 of them right now, and all three are reversed), so as long as you are aware of that, everything is fine.

For 3, it is an excellent solution
5/5

A number of 5mm to XLR adapters are available Make sure you pay attention to the left (tip, white) and right (ring, red) Using this cable, you'll be able to connect unbalanced 3 to a balanced 3 with clarity. There are a variety of consumer electronics that output 5mm stereo, including computers, TVs and phones Connect your high-quality audio devices to the balanced XLR inputs found on most studio monitors, as well as other high-level and professional sources of audio. All the way up to the 3 the cable can be easily separated. It is recommended to spread the distance between your left and right speakers by 5mm. As you can see, I did use it to connect the three. I am connecting the JBL professional 305p mkii powered monitors to an Audioquest Dragonfly USB DAC over a 5mm stereo input. Additionally, you could make a connection directly through your computer's USB port. There is a 3. 5mm output jack as well, although the sound quality will be significantly better with the Dragonfly or other DAC. As a result, I didn't want to purchase a separate audio interface for my home studio, and this cable was an inexpensive and quality option. Through the JBLs, the sound quality is fantastic and noise is not an issue. The caveat is that you are prepared by checking the markings on the right (red or "ring") and left (white or "tip"). In my case (and in the case of a few others), my cable was If you end up having your cable that way, it's no big deal to attach the red cable to the left and the white cable to the right. I highly recommend this book.

The end of the noise from EMFs
5/5

Even when gaming, even when my CPU and GPU are stressed by demanding games, the noise from this cable is substantially reduced. It was audible when I added a graphic equalizer between my motherboard's rear headphone jack and my studio monitor's input. Now you can live the way you want It's wonderful to see improvements like this. I have never had a disappointing experience with Cable Matters. It is hard to beat the value for the quality.

It was mislabeled
3/5

As far as the continuity checks are concerned, everything worked fine, but the XLR labeled TIP was connected to the ring on the 1/8 inch. In the tip is the plug labelled RING, and the plug labeled plug went to the plug labelled plug. As a result, it's not a problem in performance, but it might be addressed by being aware that XLRs are labeled incorrectly. It also means that the color coding of the XLRs is incorrect.

Apart from that, I like how the XLR pins and 1/8 in have been designed. Gold appears to be present on the contact surfaces.

Make sure to keep one with you
5/5

The program does what it has to do, and it This is a great value for the money. If you need to plug in a phone or laptop and you've used all of your stereo DI boxes, this is the perfect solution. Don't forget to take note of any upstream 48V output from consoles and stage boxes.

The results I had in mind were not what I had in mind
3/5

This is well made, but the fan out is all the way down to 1/8" or 3". A 5mm TRS jack is available! A CKR should be connected to the other until maybe six inches from its I just find it annoying and I have to work twice as hard to make it The picture shows it together but it is not that way in my case. This might have been a return, and I got it and it had been pulled apart by the previous owner!.

The product works well, and it's always handy to have a few of these on hand
5/5

The cable is great, the price is great, and the quality is great. These little units might be just what you need when you want to move your audio from one device to another with different connectors.
