A pair of Kustom KPC15's are in my collection. What part of the 15" speakers does the top hat hit? Are they all that long that they do not hit anything?

Those top hats on the speaker stands look great. The finish is excellent and the construction is superb. These are highly recommended for anyone who needs a deep insert that is found on larger speaker systems.
