Questions & Answers

What is the best place to place the battery in the guitar?

It has a nice thickness, so if you need to cut a little compartment to store batteries in you will have plenty of space! If you need a temporary solution, you can probably tie them to the outside with duct tape.

Similarly, does the back of the guitar also have a sunburst finish or is it black on top?

Sunburst is also on the back. This is an incredibly well crafted image. The guitar is well-crafted and beautifully finished.

Can you give me your opinion on whether the spare strings that come with the bundle are of What recommendations would you offer if not?

It's hard to tell. As of yet, there has been no need to change them. In general, I find it to be a good deal. The strings that came with the guitar are fine. The guitar sounds great, and the amp sounds good too. For approximately $15, guitar center will sell you a new set of strings if you don't like the current ones

Some work needed to be done outside the box
4/5

Despite the fact that I play some acoustic guitars, I wanted to try an inexpensive electric guitar to see how it sounds and plays. After it arrived, I tuned it up and found that all was well. The only problem was there were no instructions provided for the accessories, such as the amp and After I figured out the basics, I soon realized that the tuning of the guitar wasn't precisely predictable. There are chords where this would work and others where it wouldn't. As well as tuning flatter than I was used to, the tuner seemed to be unplayable. After returning the guitar to a guitar shop and having the luthier take a look at it and agree to setting it up properly, I gave no thought to whether or not I should repair it. After two days of work, it was returned to the shop. In fact, the tuner was not properly set for guitar E6 at 440 Hz as it turned out. We quickly fixed this, and now you'll be able to tune it correctly. Although the guitar was adjusted, the neck continued to creep. He subsequently learned that the strings were too light on the guitar. Reference string 0 is used as a reference. Instead of 0, use 08 instead. The definition of that is whatever you want it to be. A thin layer would have made more sense. A new set of strings was put on the guitar, and now it is playing in tune and sounds $38 is the price I paid. I had to pay $00 to have it professionally set up, but it was worth each and In any case, I think this package provides a lot of value for its price. As of now, I am pleased with my progress. As I said above, this is something that you can expect to find on any new guitar, so it wasn't surprising.

Only a good amp to go along with that great guitar
4/5

You did a fantastic job! It has been a little while since I changed out the strings to fender. There are two sets in the 2009 After I picked it up for the first time, I had to retune it every couple of weeks. Keeping tune has now become much easier. Perhaps it just took some time for it to "settle in". I'm not used to dealing with a guitar in this price range, so this may be common for others in the range. I'm old, so I tune my low E to a note from the keyboard then tune each string above it The higher notes seem to be "out of tune" when compared to an electronic tuner when I do this. This makes no sense to me. It's possible that my advancing years are making me tone deft. In any case, when I play using an electronic tuner, those riffs sound great, so I'll just keep wondering why and leave it as it is.

As far as sound is concerned, it is excellent. This tone is similar to a Mexican strat except at positions 1 and 2 on the pickups. It is hard to describe, but I think it is not that It is no secret that I play my strat almost exclusively in position 4. 40 years ago, there was no five-position pick up so I spent a lot of time trying to find the point in between 2 and 3 that was "just right". I'd say that positions 1 and 2 are more of a Yamaha sound, while 3 and 5 are a mex strat sound.

The more I play it, the more I'm getting the feeling that pos 5 and 4 are like Les Paul. Whatever the case may be, I often find myself using position 1 and 2 for most of my playing.

It's a good amp, but not great. In any case, what should you expect for this price? I don't have the means of testing the amp, but I think it's overrated in terms of wattage. I must admit that this guitar becomes a whole new instrument if you plug it into a Roland Jazz Chorus. Whenever I use surround sound systems, I use Yamaha amplifiers. The Elac speakers that come with them are great, so I guess I expected more from the amplifier. In my opinion, this is more than likely some made-in-China junk amp with the Yamaha name on it. No one from Yamaha that designs music equipment had anything to do with this. Ideally, I would prefer this amp to be in the same class as the THR 10 C. This is not the case. I urge you to take a look at the Yamaha THR 10C practice amp (if you want a real good practice amp)

So would you recommend this set up to others? Yes, I agree! You should buy this if you can afford less than $500. The setup I recommend is one of the best to get started, if someone wants to ask me. In order to keep this guitar in good shape for many years to come, it must be able to be played. It won't be necessary to upgrade the guitar, but the amp will need to be upgraded. I had some friends over and we did a blind taste test. They couldn't tell which guitar I was playing because I didn't reveal its brand. As well as this Yamaha and the American made Strat, I had a Squier guitar my nephew had bought, plus a Yamaha made by my Nephew. All the riffs on each guitar were the same. This wasn't a surprise to me since all of them chose Strat won out over Yamaha, but I was surprised to see them have trouble deciding between them. When equipped with a good amp, this guitar has the potential to compete with more expensive models.

It is a great guitar at an affordable price
5/5

I am just starting out as a guitarist, but I know a little about guitars once in a while. The family instruments I play are ukuleles. I've been playing one for a few years and have a good Even with the caveat I mentioned above, I'm very impressed with the quality and construction of the From the moment the instrument was taken out of the box, it was clear that it had been made with precision techniques. The frets looked smooth and were firmly attached. It has a deep blue finish that I love. There is no imperfection in the finish of the body. It is my understanding that the PAC12 is constructed from less expensive woods (Agathis for the body and Sonokeling for the fretboard) than In addition, there's nothing that feels or looks cheap about it. There has been some discussion that different woods give different sounds, but my ears are new, so the sound is fine to me. It appears to be a great setup. A low level of action has occurred. In my beginning level, I am not unsure of learning how to press down to create good tones. I made a few minor adjustments to intonation and it seemed to work out fine. This guitar is easier to tune and has tuners that hold their tuning. While I know this can be improved, there are ways to make it better. I have read reviews that this is the Golden Age of getting the best sound for your money. I got the better pickups, name brand tuners, and more on Yamaha's high end, but I was totally taken by the quality that you can get for the low end of their brand. It's great to be able to play such high-level guitars!.

The guitar is a great choice This seems like an adequate starting point for me as a beginner
5/5

I didn't expect it to be of this high quality, but it is. The sound is amazing and the tuning is solid. There is only one thing I would replace, and that is the amp, which is only for better sound quality, the rest works fine. If you are looking for an awesome guitar for under $600, then this one is for you. One of my guitar instructors said that he would even play it on stage with me. On the other hand, if you are a beginner or even a little more advanced and on a budget, this is definitely at the top of your list.

It holds a lot of value The sound is good
5/5

The only reason I give this little guitar 5 stars is that I don't think you can beat the quality for the price. I've heard and played Gibson, Fender, Gretsch, and other guitars in my youth. It is true that the higher end guitars are generally price of this gem is huge compared to the costs of this The chords are easy to play with very little pressure required to fret them, it sounds good, and it is quite adjustable to produce a variety of If you want higher quality strings, you'll need them. It is "usable" in a room, and that is all I need to say.
